    Laboratory comple!

    The laboratory complex consists of three constituents:

    personal computer (PC) with built-in software for in-circuit emulator;

    circuit emulator;

    the stands for laboratory work connected to a circuit emulator.

    This structure has seeral adanta!es" namely" it allows proidin! flexibility in terms

    of possible chan!es while composin! laboratory works" low cost to make chan!es" andit is conenient in terms of isibility of the deices studied.

    The basic unit of a laboratory complex is in-circuit emulator" which is the link

    between the PC and a studied laboratory stand. #n-circuit emulator is a deice that

    emulates the hardware of the processor" and the processor controlled by a personal

    computer.

    $ith the help of special software a test pro!ram deeloped for a particular laboratory

    stand was loaded in the emulator.

    The laboratory complex software consists of two independent pro!rams: the pro!ram

    % in a permanent memory in-circuit emulator and the pro!ram in a PC desi!ned to

    communicate with the user&s hardware.

    The stands for the laboratory work are a set of separate modules" connected to the #'

    ports emulator. The stands are desi!ned to !ie some information to the students on the

    types of di!ital components (decoders" flip-flops" counters" etc.)" to learn and debu! of

    external deices (indicators" analo!-di!ital conerters" #C-deices" etc.)" to examine

    methods for connectin! standard peripheral circuits for microprocessor deices and

    software settin!s" to study the methods for constructin! di!ital deices.

    *s an emulated microprocessor in laboratory complex" *T+,C microcontroller is

    used. #t belon!s to the family of /C0-microcontrollers.

    The microcontrollers of /C0- family are now the most commonly used deices

    amon! sin!le-chip microcontrollers for the applications embedded" despite of the fierce

    market competition and alternatie ariants aailability.

    The adanta!es of the microcontroller of /C0- family are:

    a lar!e number of /C2s in the family and their wide opportunities;

    a lar!e number of freely aailable software and hardware desi!ns;

    The structure of in-circuit emulator in addition to *T+,Cmicrocontroller consists

    of memory chip +k6 memory capacity" which is used to record a user7s pro!ram.

    /emory chip is connected in such a manner that it can be accessed as a pro!ram

    memory" and as a data memory. The communication between PC and emulator is carried

    out ia a serial port (C/-port). To match the olta!e leels for 0erial 80-4 and TT9

    series chips one must use the connection unit with a PC that can be realied" for

    example" on a /* 4chip. The selection criterion of /*4 chip as a typical

    application circuit is a bindin! of only four capacitors and circuit correctly assembled
