La Vina Elementary School Parent-School-Student Compact This school-parent-student compact is a component of the No Child Left behind Act of 2001. This compact outlines the schools, parents, and student’s partnership to improved student academic achievement and provides the best possible learning for all students. As a parent of La Vina School, I pledge to: See that my child attends school daily unless he/she is ill. Provide a home environment that encourages my child to learn. Support the completion of homework on a daily basis Communicate regularly with my child’s teachers. Encourage my child to have a positive attitude about school. Make sure my child eats healthy meals, and gets plenty of sleep in preparation for the school day. Assure that my child is dressed appropriate and according to district dress code policy. Get involved with my child’s activities, events and promotional days as much as possible. As a student at La VIna School, I pledge to: Come to school prepared with my assignments complete. Arrive on time and prepared to learn. Make sure I understand my assignments for the week, and put in appropriate time each day at home. Always try to do my best in my work and cooperate with the teacher and other staff. Work cooperatively with my classmates. Take pride in my school. Show respect toward other students, all staff members, my school, and others. Demonstrate concern for the health and safety of everyone. Wear appropriate attire as listed on the district dress code policy. Take proper care of all school property. Comply with classroom and school rules. Have high expectations and believe in myself. Work on assignments daily as found on my weekly assignment card. As a teacher of La Vina School, I pledge to: Have high expectations of all students. Show that I care about all students. Respect the difference and individuality of the student. Help each child grow to his/her potential. Check for student understanding of subject matter. Provide a safe environment conducive to learning and supports the ten pillars of Character. Provide high quality curriculum and instruction to assist students in learning the state standards. Enforce school and classroom rules fairly and consistently. Maintain open lines of communication with students and parents. Provide parents with frequent reports on their children’s progress. Seek ways to involve parents in the school (volunteer, participate, observe) Demonstrate professional behavior and a positive attitude. Escuela La Vina Pacto familiar de la escuela

Este pacto de escuela-padre-estudiante es parte del la ley federal No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. Este es un acuerdo de trabajar juntos entre la escuela y padres para que el estudiante mejore académicamente en el mejor ambiente posible. El Compromiso de los Padres:

Que mi hijo/a asista a la escuela regularmente y a tiempo. Proporcionar un ambiente en el hogar que anime a mi hijo/a aprender. Asegurar que la tarea esté completa diariamente. Comunicarme regularmente con el maestro de mi hijo/a. Animar a mi hijo/a a que tenga una actitud positiva sobre la escuela. Asegurar que mi hijo/a coma saludablemente; lleve bocadillos saludables a la escuela, y duerma lo

suficiente en preparación para el siguiente día escolar. Asegurar que mi hijo/a se vista apropiadamente y obedezca la póliza de vestuario del distrito. Participar en eventos y actividades en días especiales en la escuela

El Compromiso del Estudiante:

Llegar a la escuela preparado con mi tarea y útiles escolares. Llegar a tiempo y preparado para aprender. Escribir la tarea, hacer tarea diariamente y entregarla a tiempo. Siempre hacer lo mejor con mi tarea y cooperar con mi maestro y personal. Trabajar cooperativamente con los compañeros de clase. Tener orgullo de la escuela. Demostrar respeto a estudiantes, personal de escuela y otros individuos. Demostrar preocupación sobre la salud y seguridad de todos. Usar ropa apropiada de acuerdo con la póliza de uniforme del distrito. Respetar y cuidar de la propiedad de la escuela. Obedecer las reglas del salón y escuela.
