Scandivine – Expatriates Wine Tasting

First of all, we would like to thank your association for offering Scandivine a little bit of your fancy, smancy time in Paris to discover a small part of french wine culture.

We hope that the little french flyer introducing Scandivine has given you an idea about our passion for wine and not least of all our wine philosophy. You will find it translated into English here.

Saint Emilion, Vosne Romanée are world famous wine names you might have heard about. Cabardes, Beaumes de Venise, are perhaps a little bit more mysterious or unknown to you?

Scandivine is introducing to you a various selection of wines discovered through our numerous trips around french wine production areas.

The wines presented resemble their producers : marked with passion, generosity and authenticity. The wine makers we have met, have given us the desire to tell you about their stories.

The wine domains chosen are the witnesses of the richness of french wine diversity. We have selected wines enabling you to travel between simplicity, typicality, delicacy, complexity and many other feelings.

Today ‘’bio’’ is becoming the norm, singular products are disappearing with generic goods and besides that, shared moments are crunched by time pressure, that is the reason why Scandivine is commited to:- Defending the little producers devoted to their land,- Exclusively work with wine makers respecting nature, and ‘’bio dynamie’’

principles.- Share with you their products through wine tastings.

Tonight we will present you :

White wines : Sorry Chardonnay fans.

• Fié gris 2008 : this grape (sauvignon family) is only produced by 1 wine maker in the world. You will be surprised by this crunchy wine.

• Bergerac 2001 : Soft, half dry, dry, you will sense all three feelings with this wine. By the way it is the favorite wine of your president, not Barrak of course, but Andrew. Be kind and say it is a good product ;-)

Those 2 sauvignons will show you the differences between 2 techniques of production, 2 different years and 2 different terroirs.

Rosé wine : it is almost summer.

Château l’Engarran 2009 : gold medal at the agricole concours which is a main reward in France. The best rosé we ever tasted.

Red wines : At least one Bordeaux just to make you feel secure ;-)

• Fronsac 2007 : First year of production for the new Cellar master, who is already expressing herself with simplicity and delicacy.

• Bergerac 2003 : always the challenger, and always the winner. Same terroirs as Saint Emilion, but not a Bordeaux just a Bergerac.

• Côtes du Rhone 2007 : fantastic mature syrah oriented wine. Round, balanced and spicy.
