The Addition KIT is a new concept of adding additives on filling storage tanks with the possibility of controlling right enrichment doses.The use of specific SYNECO additives for Diesel combustion motors will increase the Cetane number of gas oil and provide for the maximumperformance in terms of torque and power by acting on the feed system, whether Common Rail or injector-pump, by restoring the perfect effi-ciency and cleaning of injectors, by improving all combustion aspects as well as by favouring the elimination of carbon deposits and the qualityof exhaust gases. Il “SERVICE 2000 Professional Consulting” è un servizio di consulenzatecnica che si basa sull’analisi chimico/fisica di un campione di olio usato,prelevato direttamente dal macchinario in lavoro, senza fermare il ciclo pro-duttivo.Il campione di olio usato, e per confronto un campione di olio uguale, manuovo, verranno analizzati e sottoposti ad una serie di test di laboratoriostandard, quali:• FT.IR - (per l’identificazione delle basi costituenti e per rilevare gli agenticontaminanti);• Titolazioni - (TAN; TBN; KF);• PLASMA - (controllo dei metalli e dei pacchetti di additivazione)• Comparazione - (olio nuovo e usato)• Analisi metallografica.Valutate le caratteristiche dell’olio campione, nelle due situazioninuovo/usato, verrà stilata la scheda tecnica. 1. INTRODUZIONE-L’indagine è stata svolta su un elemento pompante del motore per determinare le cause del malfunzionamento.

3. RISULTATI3.1 -Dall’analisi metallografica il pezzo pervenuto mostra evidenti tracce di corrosione e usura (fig.1), una guarnizione rotta (fig. 2). I fori di iniezione otturati da depositi (fig. 3). 3.2 Dall’analisi chimica il tracciato I.R del residuo prelevato è rapportabile al tipo di carburante impiegato e cioè olio di palma (fig.4).

4.CONCLUSIONIL’elemento pompante presenta tutti i fori totalmente o parzialmente otturati da residui. La formazione di questi residui è dovuta alla scarsa resistenza all’ossidazione dell’olio di palma e dei combustibili biologici in generale. Si nota anche presenza di corrosione, sviluppata in conseguenza dell’ossidazione del combustibile.Da esperienze fatte sul campo risulta che impianti utilizzanti olio di girasole puro, come combustibile, arrivavano a 2000 h.l. utili dei pompanti mentre impianti utilizzanti olio di palma non superavano le 800 h.l.Questa differenza è principalmente dovuta alla diversa viscosità e punto di fusione tra i due combustibili.Una possibile soluzione consiste in un’additivazione dell’olio di palma con un pacchetto multifunzionale, detergente e antiossidante, magari disperso in biodiesel per non modificare la composizione biologica del combustibile e verificare poi con successive ispezioni degli elementi pompanti il miglioramento della vita utile.

1. INTRODUCTION-The examination was carried out on a motor pumping element in order to determine the cause of the malfunction.

2. METHOD OF ANALYSIS2.1 -Metallographic analysis carried out using an electronic microscope and telecamera.2.2 -Chemical analysis carried out using the FT-IR spectrophotometer, to determine the nature of the residue present on the piece.

3. RESULTS3.1 –From the metallographic analysis carried out on the piece it is clear that the latter shows evident traces of corrosion and wear (fig.1), a broken gasket (fig. 2). The injection holes are clogged by deposits (fig. 3). 3.2 The chemical analysis indicates that the I.R. trace of the sampled residue is similar to the type of fuel used i.e. palm oil (fig.4).

4.CONCLUSIONSThe pumping element holes are all totally or partially clogged by residues. The formation of these residues is due to the poor resistance to oxidation of palm oil and biological fuels in general. It is also important to note the presence of corrosion, developed as a result of oxidation of the fuel.From field observations it can be seen that plants using pure sunflower oil, as fuel, achieve up to 2000 useful pump work hours whileplants using palm oil did not exceed 800 work hours.This difference is mainly due to the different viscosity and melting point of the two fuels.A possible solution may be provided by adding palm oil with a multifunctional, detergent and anti-oxidising packet, perhaps dispersed in biodiesel to avoid modifying the biological composition of the fuel, and then verifying, by means of subsequent inspections of the pumping elements, that there is an improvement in useful life.

Syneco has created and improved a new type of oil-proces-sing which increases the in-use life of the oil: this newtreatment is called Service Syneco HOT (Hydraulic OilTreatment).

This type of processing is tailored to hydraulic oils of theSyneco PRESS Series, which are regularly checked bymeans of Syneco Check-UP service, before undergoing thisspecial kind of “plastic surgery”, through which the initialoil characteristics are restored, so that it is possible to keepusing the same oil in the same hydraulic circuit.

This type of oil processing is designed to double the lengthof time during which oil is used, so that the same oil can beused throughout the total circuit length.

Furthermore, thanks to this oil the number of oil changes isreduced, as well as the amount of used oil to be disposed of,thus limiting the harmful effects on the environment.

La Syneco SpA ha sviluppato e messo a punto un nuovoprocesso di lavorazione che ha lo scopo di prolungarel’impiego dell’olio in servizio: il Service Syneco HOT(Hydraulic Oil Treatment).

E’ un processo rivolto agli oli idraulici della serie SynecoPRESS, controllati periodicamente col Service SynecoCheck-UP; una lavorazione di “lifting” prevede il raggiungi-mento delle caratteristiche iniziali del fluido e perciò con-sente il successivo riutilizzo nello stesso circuito oleodina-mico.

Col processo di lavorazione si prevede di raddoppiare iltempo di utilizzo dell’olio in modo da usarlo per la duratatotale del circuito.

Sono ridotti gli intervalli di manodopera per il cambiodell’olio, la quantità dell’olio da smaltire come prodottoesausto, contenendo gli effetti dell’impatto ambientale.
