Each page has a section of the story with the appropriate picture which provides a visually appealing way to learn the story of Chanukah. Goals/Objective: Students will be summarize the story of Chanukah and be able to sequence the story into the correct order. Materials Needed: Pictures and text (14 pages of 11” x 17” attached) Tape/glue Scissors 7 22 x 28 inch colored poster boards 3 2-inch binder rings Instructions: 1. Cut all poster boards in half so they all measure 11x14 inches. These are the pages for the big book. 2. Print out all pages. 3. Glue each page to poster board. 4. Laminate each page. 5. Punch two holes on the top of book about 3 inches away from each other. 6. Put binder rings through holes and draw pages through rings. 7. Variations/Modifications: 1. Once the students are familiar with the story of Chanukah, take apart the book, rearrange the order, and then instruct students to put in correct order. 2. While reading the story, have students act out the scene in each page. 3. Cut out the pictures and allow students to write or dictate their own text for their own Chanukah book.
