REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES

The City of La Feria recently received two contracts (TDEM-DR-1791-354 and TDEM-DR-1791-355) from the Texas Department of Public Safety under the Hazard Mitigation Program and approved by the Federal Emergency Management Agency for the construction of two monolithic concrete domes to be used as community safe rooms in La Feria.

Accordingly, the City is seeking to contract with a qualifi ed individual/architectural/engineering fi rm registered to practice in the State of Texas to prepare all preliminary and fi nal design plans and specifi ca-tions including onsite and off-site utilities and improvements and to conduct all necessary interim and fi nal inspections.

On October 23, 2012, the City of La Feria will hold a public hearing to solicit public input on the City’s application to the TX Dept. of Transportation’s Transportation Enhancement Program. The City intends to request funding to install sidewalks on Expressway 83, Parker Road, Main Street and Rabb Road.
