Long fabled among travellers for its legendary beaches, world-class diving and far-flung location in the middle of nowhere, the Andaman Islands are still the ideal place

to get away from it all.

It’s lovely opaque emerald waters are surrounded by

primeval jungle and mangrove forest, and snow-white beaches

that melt under flame-and-purple sunsets. The population is a friendly mix of South and

Southeast Asian settlers, as well as Negrito ethnic groups whose

arrival here still has anthropologists baffled. Adding

to the intrigue is its remote location, some 1370km from the mainland, meaning the islands

are geographically more Southeast Asia – 150km from 

Indonesia and 190km from Myanmar.

While the archipelago

comprises some 300 islands, only a dozen

or so are open to tourists, Havelock

by far being the most popular for its

beaches and diving. The Nicobars are

strictly off limits to tourists, as they are

the tribal areas.

•Day 1: Welcome at Port Blair Airport. Rest at hotel. After lunch sightseeing to Andaban Water Sport Complex, Fisheries Museum and Cellular Jail with Light & Sound Show. Overnight stay at Port Blair.

•Day 2: Sightseeing to Bharatpur Beach, Laxmanpur Beach, Sitapur Beach. Overnight stay at Neil Island.

•Day 3: Sail by Government Boat from Neil Island to Havelock Island. Sightseeing at Radha nagar Beach. Overnight stay at Havelock Island.

•Day 4: After lunch back to Port Blair by Government Boat. Visit to Gandhi Park and Sagarika Emporium. Overnight stay at Port Blair.

•Day 5: Visit to Chatham Saw Mill, Forest Museum, Anthropological Museum, Samudrika (Naval) Museum, Historical Ross Island and Carbyn’s Cove Beach. Overnight stay at Port Blair.

•Day 6: Sightseeing to Baratang Island, Limestone Cave, Mud Volcano and Amkunj Beach at Rangat. Overnight stay at Rangat.*

•Day 7: Sightseeing to Ross & Smith Island, Viewpoint at APWD Guest House Diglipur and Maya Bandar. Overnight stay at Maya Bandar.*

•Day 8: Back to Port Blair and Rest Day. Overnight stay at Port Blair.

•Day 9: Visit to Wandoor Beach, Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park, Tsunami Affected Area, Rubber Plantation, Bolidan Bedi and Shilpi Ghat Agricultural Farm. Overnight stay at Port Blair.

•Day 10: Sightseeing to Munda Pahar Beach and Chidiya Tapu Sunset Point Beach. Overnight stay at Port Blair.

•Day 11: See off at Port Blair Airport.

•On your request we can change your day 6 and 7 itinerary comprising Rangat and Maya Bandar stays respectively to Dijlipur stay for 2 nights. It’s equally picturesque and we shall act on your choice only.

•Port Blair to Diglipur 296.8 km and approximate drive time is 5 to 6 hours.
