Master Marine is a shipbuilding firm in Alabama that has been struggling with an outdated image for many years.

That’s why they hired me to update their image with a brochure demonstrating their expertise.

I went for professionalism and elegance as the cornerstone of the design.

Master Marine, Inc. has been servicing government vessels and equipment for more than 20 years, including the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, NOAA and National Marine Fisheries.

Master Marine, Inc. was the first commercial contractor to successfully perform Hull Sustainment Availablility work on U.S. Coast Guard 110 ft Island Class cutters bringing a cost savings to the agency.

We pride ourselves in working closely with agency contracting officers and engineering officers in getting the job done right and on time, while helping to bring constructive and practical solutions to any engineering changes that may be required.

Our supervisory staff have been with us more than 25 years and our experienced workforce bring their knowledge into each project with confidence.

Drydocking & Repairs

To better serve our customers we have upgraded our production facility and expanded our north yard to receive additional vessels hauled out with our Marine Travelift.

Master Marine, Inc. is ready to haul out your vessel with our new 220 ton Marine Travelift. The travel lift can accomodate vessels and barges up to 30 ft wide and up to 125 ft in length depending on the weight.

For larger vessels our 700 ton floating drydock (152 ft long x 46 ft clearance inside the wingwalls), newly constructed in 2012, is available for your OSV, pushboat, patrol boat, passenger vessel, barge or other large vessel.

Shipbuilding

Over 300 vessels have been constructed and delivered to companies, government agencies, and hard working individuals on the east, west and Gulf coasts of the United States including Alaska, the northern coast of South America and the west coast of Africa.

Master Marine, Inc. builds vessels of all types large and small including inland and coastal pushboats, luggers and barges, OSV’s working the oil patch in the Gulf of Mexico, fisheries related, shrimping and longlining.

This is a proof of concept for the updated design of the American Unification Church District 5 Newsletter. It’s distributed over 6 states in the Southeast.

The first copy will come out in April 2013, for which I am the sole designer.

Leon E. Wiles was named chief diversity officer at Clemson University, a position reporting to President James F. Barker, in July 2008. Wiles comes from USC Upstate in Spartanburg, SC, where he held the position of vice chancellor for student and diversity affairs since 1982. He began as dean of students and moved up steadily to assume more responsibility for all student affairs and diversity efforts. Prior to that, he served as director of the developmental year program at Pennsylvania State University. At Clemson, the chief diversity officer serves as the president’s senior executive responsible for all major equity and inclusion efforts. He sits on the administrative council and advises the president, provost and vice presidents on policies and programs that contribute to the university’s mission and goals and reflect its core values. Wiles latest initiative to encourage diversity at Clemson is the creation of a newsletter called “Diversity Matters”.

IPL 5 T-shirt

This design won a national competition for the IGN Pro League IPL 5 tournament T-shirt design contest.

My earnings were over $1,200, including two VIP tickets to the tournament and travel expenses.

The shirt was given out as a special prize to many of the thousands that attended the event.

Airbus plane safety card

Every time I see those airplane emergency safety cards, I think to myself, “well, I can do better than that; they should hire me to do it.”

So when I did a number of conceptual illustrations for the Airbus plane of 2030, I produced this one as well, as a proof of my abilities.

Through my connections with Airbus, I hope to produce a commercial airplane safety card in the near future.
