ITINERARY

The World Cancer Day will be celebrated on 4th February (Monday). Two days prior to the event the circular was released for the PG & UG students to get registered for the Rangoli & Drawing Competition. All the arrangements will be completed one day prior to the event that includes Preparation, Display Of Exhibits, Charts, Model, etc making of Rangoli in college premises. The drawings prepared by the participants will be displayed on the day of event.

agents, impact of the agent and its effect on general health including oral health and how to prevent it, delivered by Interns of Department of Public health Dentistry to the patients attending Out Patient Department of Chhattisgarh Dental College & Research Institute.

The World Cancer Day is celebrated on 4th Feb every year. The theme for World Cancer Day 2019 by UICC was "I AM AND I WILL". The focus of World cancer day 2019 was to make the people aware of cancer and cure cancer. World cancer day is used to develop the people to get them every information about the cancer and to cultivate a better attitude towards the people, This day is used to provide many preventive measures to the people to fight with cancer, WHO as well as other non•aovernmental organiz.ations, makes proper idea and plan to fight against cancer disease. Feasible actions and measures that can be taken individually and

, collectively to reduce the risks of cancer, following the footsteps, The World Cancer Day was observed and organized by Dr. Suraj Multani ; Reader Department of Public Health Dentistry & and Dr. Abhijeet Deoghare; HOD of Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology of Chhattisgarh Dental College and Research Institute and their team, under the expert guidance and support of Shri Nemichand Parakh Sir (President), Shri Sudhir Boddun Sir (Vice•President), Shri Sanjay Golchha Sir (Secretary), Dr. Hema Suryavanshi Madam (Dean) of C.D.C.R.I and Dr. S.I{. Nanda(Dean)of Mahaveer College of Ayurvedic Sciences.(M.C.A.S)

"Tl,e Patient Education & Heall,, Awarness ProgrtlllllM" was started at 10:00 AM by displaying charts and models on general health and ~• health in OPD reception area in college h~ital block. A Drawing and Rangoli competition was held based on the theme of world cancer day which was presented by UG students and PG students of C.D.C.R.I and M.C.A.S. l1UU1gll1Yltlo11 of the event commence at

I - 11 :00 AM by Cutting of Ribbon under the auspicious presence of Sbri Nemichand Parakh Sir (Chainnan), Shri Sanjay Golchha Sir (Secretary), Dr. Hema Suryawanshi (Dean, COCRI), Dr. SK. Nanda (Dean, MCAS) and other departmental staffs. This was followed by J~t of the Drawing competition (total no. of entries was 25) and Rangoli competition (total no. of entries were 11) around 11:30 AM, which was followed by a "Heall,, Talk" from 12:00 PM onwards through power point presentation by the interns of the Department of Public Health Dentistry to the patients attending Out Patient Department of Cbhattisgarh Dental College & Research Institute. The health talk was mostly focused on widespread prevalence of use of carcinogenic agents, impact of the agents used, and its effect on general health including oral health and how to prevent it. On this occasion a message focusing on Importance of World Cancer Day was delivered by Dean, Directors and Staffs attending event at chhattisgarh Dental College & R.oscarch Institute Sundra Rajnandgaon.
