Project Profile

Project Description:1. DEFECT tracking application [Jun’ 2013 – till date] :

Developing mobile version of a defect tracking system. Application has facility to create products; there milestones, their versions and other related details. Application also facilitates incident creation, it’s assignment to a developer, and it’s status, priority and resolutions involved. We are fulfilling bug-editing facility too. App provides queries to search for specific incidents.This product is mature and fulfilling requested enhancements.

2. Information executive [Sep’ 13 – till date]: It is an internal mobile application providing information about a Symantec product. This app has been developed to facilitate our organization sales executive who shares responsibility of selling that backup product to end customers. All information related to that product, is accumulated in a single application. For example, app consist information about product installation, costing, uses, troubleshooting, videos etc.

Responsibilities Gathering requirements, preparing use cases, Design diagrams and Lead Developer.

Agile methodologies were followed.

3. Help System [Dec’ 12 – Jun 15]: It is a help system giving information about many Symantec products. The main responsibility involved in it, was automating the build, deployment and configuration management procedure of this product. Apart from that lead this product moving on Amazon cloud services. (EC2 and Elastic bean stalk mainly).

In later stages responsibility of making this product compatible with all mobile platforms was assigned to me.

Responsibilities Acted as lead developer for designing and developing automation for end-to-end

deployment process. Also handled responsibility of deploying the service on AWS and ensuring non-disrupted service to client.

4. Review Tools [Mar’ 15 – till now]:Acting as a product owner for a review tool for Symantec employees. Main responsibility includes maintain and deploy this review tool for employees. Apart from that also doing automation task for this tool to enhance customer experience. Taken the responsibility of making this tool available for all employees during split for VERITAS and Symantec. This involved communication and collaboration with IT and all stake holders. Taken the responsibility of end-to-end operations of the application.

Platform/Domain/Technologies Java for developing enhancements/automation requests. Linux as a platform to make this tool available.

5. JIRA Service Desk [Dec’15 – till now]:Helping the product owner for this ticketing tool inside Symantec, in exploring the features, power of publicly exposed APIs, developing plugins for Jira, configuration and deployment.

We are trying to customize the user experience to provided a concrete ticketing tools for various products of Symantec like Toro, Etrack, Collaborator, Crucible, Jenkins, Stash etc.

6. Email security [Mar’ 12 – May’ 12]: It is antimalware, anti-spasm, content filtering and email encryption services. Develop a mobile app to send and view reports generated about email attacks, spasm their filtering to administrators.

7. Application HA mobile version [Before Apr’12]. Developed a mobile application to provide status and activities about various applications present on VMware virtual machines.

8. Components development [Jun’12- Nov’12]: Developed a static library for customized components for various controls, features and common screens across many products. For ex, Login screen, Customized segmented control, Customized Tabbar control, Search and filtering library. The developed component was used in many mobile products with small changes in supplied plist files.

9. Cross platform application development scope [Jun’12- Aug’12]: I was included in a team to investigate about cross platform application development technologies using HTML5, CSS and JS. Also investigated about available 3rd party libraries like Sencha touch, phonegap and JQuery. Main aim for this investigation was to build up scenarios, where decision can be made whether to use cross platform technique or native frameworks for a particular application development.

lead developer and designer.

10. Business Continuity Mobile app [Jun’13 – July’ 13]: It is an internal app to promote business continuity in Symantec.

11. Bank Application [March’2011 – August’2011]: Thick client application for banks in Scandinavian countries to have transaction, transfer of funds, fetching account details, finding ATMs and branches of that near user location or a location specified by user, finding route from user location to particular branch/ATM and conversion of currency according to current market rate.Special Feature: Home page of this application demanded highly customized animation before presenting different options to end-user. This customized animation was developed single handedly using core animation features in iPhone development kit.

12. Phone Tool Application [July’2010 –February’2011]: This was developed for leading mobile service provider in US. This application is thick client iPhone version of their web portal. It has following features.Ability to send/receive e-mails and view call logs. End user can also view TVlisting and facilitate scheduling programs etc. Moreover user can also search for a particular program of interest. Responsibilities: Worked on application for Requirements Engineering, Designing, Developing and

Testing.

13. BTFON/BTOpenzone DEV [March’2010 – August’2010]: This application provides login and logout functionality for BTFON and BTOpenzone hotspot

customers. Application has added feature of showing nearby BTFON and BTOpenzone hotspots on map. Concept of tiling on map has been used to show area with dense BT FON and BT Openzone hotspots. Apart from that we are also dealing with suppressing captive portal in this application.Responsibilities: Worked on application as a team of 2 for Requirements Engineering, Designing,

Developing and Testing. Working as sole developer. Received many appreciations from clients as well as Delivery Manager for

excellence in work.

14. GAP4ME [March’09 – June’09]: Gap4Me on iPhone – Apart from functionality to view the GAP accessories, it had

additional functionality of Virtual Trial Room. Worked as Designer, Developer and Tester. GAP4Me was sent to participate in GAP

contest hold worldwide for innovative application on iPhone, where it has been selected as the final winner of the contest by GAP client which was held between teams from all over the world.

Additional Responsibilities: Created the SDLC documents for all iPhone applications. Worked on Safari development application on iPhone from scratch. Worked for CVCrDVR application for Cable Vision client as developer and main lead

tester. Working as an Event Manager of the team. Organized events at our DU level in Infosys and were responsible for writing newsletter

on Mobile applications. Organized numerous Team Building activities. Primary Owner of 2 applications along with stated work.
