Learned circles have positively concluded that the infallible purpose of the
advancement of knowledge, namely austerities, study of the Vedas, sacrifice,
chanting of hymns and charity, culminates in the transcendental
descriptions of the Lord, who is defined in choice poetry.

Indra falls down at lotus feet of Krishna, although his crown dazzled like sunshine.
Indra knew Krishna’s supreme position but could not believe Krishna’s human-ness.
God’s supremacy is multi-faceted.
Position of Avatara
Thought no one could be more powerful than him within the universe
Krishna is powerful when within or beyond universe.
His supremacy is never compromised.
nāham prakāśah sarvasyayoga-māyā-samāvrtah
mūdho 'yam nābhijānātiloko mām ajam avyayam
(BG 7.25)
I am never manifest to the foolish and unintelligent. For them I am covered by My internal potency, and therefore they
do not know that I am unborn and infallible.

False pride and downfall withdrawal of opulences
Krishna sometimes removes all opulences.

Surabhi’s worship
Krishna – most powerful of all mystic yogis – Yogeshwara
Soul of the universe – ParamAtma – source of cosmic manifestation
Cows which are Surabhi’s descendants remained under
Krishna’s shelter despite Indra’s attack.
You are our Indra – Indra is protector of his group – likewise Lord is protector of all groups.
Namo brahmanya devAya go brahmana hitaya cha
Bathing Lord with her milk
Krishna bathed by Surabhi cows’ milk.
Indra bathed by Ganges water through AirAvata’s trunk.
Indra, Surabhi cows and all devatas and their mothers bathed Krishna and Ganges water
and Surabhi milk.
Krishna was pleased with them.
Residents of heavenly planets glorified Krishna.
Poured flowers from sky
Cows overflooded earth with milk.
Krishna’s Grace
All things happened nicely and lower animals were no longer envious.
A Powerful Example
Krishna is Govinda
Indra left for heavenly kingdom
with different devasthrough cosmic
space.
River water began to flow – nourished trees – fruits &
flowers of different colours & tastes.
Trees began to pour drops of honey.
Hills and mountains began to produce
potential medicinal plants & valuable
stones.
