Vision

This peer-mentorship program was created to

assist in the transition from high school to university

life. Through personal stories and navigation of

online websites or physical spaces, you play an important role to the student adjusting to a university campus.

Overview of Program• Currently there is one E-Mentor to handle the

entire incoming first year students (~270 students). • The E-mentorship program is based off interest.

Student are able to opt-in and opt-out of the program at any time if they like.• Note: There is no formal method of opting in or opting out.

• With multiple mentors there are several ways that we can run the mentorship program. Option 1Each mentor is assigned

to a group of students.

Option 2Each peer-

mentor takes on a different responsibility.

Option 3A mixture of Option 1 and

Option 2.

Boundaries• It is important to set a boundaries when

communicating to students, especially through social media.• Consider your identity and how you display

yourself online.• The relationship between Mentor and

Mentee may naturally evolve into a personal one.• The success of this program is predicated on

the trust established between mentors and mentees.
