About KORG GadgetKORG Gadget is a mobile music production studio for the iPad, which consists of a sequencer and 15 mobile synthesizers/drum machines, called “Gadgets”.

The 15 gadgets can be freely combined to easily create powerful dance music.

Play a GadgetFirst, let’s select and play a few of the 15 gadgets.

Tap the KORG Gadget icon displayed on the Home screen of the iPad to begin.

Make sure the volume of the iPad is turned up.

Let’s start to play a gadget by selecting the Berlin synthesizer gadget.

When the KORG Gadget is first started, the main screen appears.In the main screen, you can assign a gadget to each track and adjust the volume of each track.

Tap the Track Add button, shown at the right, to select a gadget.The gadget select screen will be displayed.

Select the Berlin synthesizer gadget from the gadget select screen.After a gadget is selected, the main screen appears again.

Tap the gadget icon displayed in the main screen.The edit screen will be dis-played.

The edit screen consists of the Piano Roll and gadget panel.

Play the gadget by tapping or sliding the keyboard.The gadget produces sound.

Tap the buttons or displays in the upper-left corner of the gadget to switch the program.

Let’s try selecting and playing various synthesizer and drum machine gadgets other than Berlin.

Creating a SongLet’s try creating a simple song. First, we will input a drum track.

Tap the Track Add button in the main screen.

Select “London” from the displayed gadget select screen.

Tap the program display, and then select program “002: HANDS UP” from the displayed menu.

Tap in the grid of the Piano Roll to add notes so that the Piano Roll appears as shown.

Next, let’s try adding the bass.

Tap the Track Add button in the main screen.

Select “Brussels” from the displayed gadget select screen.

Tap the program display, and then select program “003: Re:Peter” from the displayed menu.

Tap or drag in the grid of the Piano Roll to add notes so that the Piano Roll appears as shown.

Finally, let’s try adding a synthesizer.

Here, use the Amsterdam drum gadget, which can easily add synth tones.

Tap the Track Add button in the main screen.

Select “Amsterdam” from the displayed gadget select screen.

Return to the main screen, turn on , and then tap to play back the song.

Adjust the volume of each track with the fader in the mixer, and adjust the master effects.

Try adding more tracks to the song, and then play the performance.
