Number of Heroes: 1-5 Heroes

Special Components in this Adventure: Start Dungeon Tile, Kobold Clan Chamber Card, Klak and Meerak Villain cards and figures, Horrid Chamber Tiles and Entrance, Dire Chamber Tiles and Entrance, Vault tile, Villagers, Doors, Treasure Tokens.Place the Start tile on the table. Place each Hero on a square adjacent to the stairway on the Start tile.

Take 4 tiles and shuffle the Dire Chamber and Horrid Take 4 tiles and shuffle the Dire Chamber and Horrid Chamber Entrance tiles into them. Then place these tilesafter the 6th tile down so the chambers appear between the 7th and 12 tile.

Place the Vault as the 13th tile down the stack.

Use all the Wrath of Ashardalon tiles, encounters and monsters but remove the 3 Cultists from the Wrath of Ashardalon Monster deck and replace them with the 3 Kobold Skirmishers from Castle Ravenloft. Shuffle the Castle Ravenloft and Wrath of Ashardalon Treasure decks together to make one deck.

Follow the rules for placing Doors and using Treasure Tokens instead of Treasure Cards as detailed in the Wrath of Ashardalon rules and adventure books.

When the Dire Chamber is placed use the Kobold Clan Chamber card to populate the Chamber and place Meerak as the Villain.

When the Horrid Chamber is placed use the Kobold Clan When the Horrid Chamber is placed use the Kobold Clan Chamber card to populate the Chamber and place Klak as the Villain.

If the Heroes Reveal the Vault, Read:

From between the bars the villagers plead with you to free them from the evil Kobold’s clutches.”

Draw two Villager cards at random and place their tokens Draw two Villager cards at random and place their tokens behind the door. Then draw and place two Monsters as guards in front of the Vault door (instead of the usual one). If the guards are killed the heroes may choose to take the Villagers with them. For each Villager saved at the end of the Adventure the heroes may draw one Treasure Token.

Victory: The Heroes win when one or both of the Kobold Villains are killed and all Heroes have Escaped by ending their turn on the Stairway on the Start tile.

Defeat: The Heroes lose this adventure if any Hero has 0 Hit Points at the start of his or her turn and there are no Healing Surge tokens remaining.

When You Start the Adventure, Read:

The Kobolds’ stink is overpowering. You have entered the caverns of the Kobolds’ lair and you know what must be done: the Kobold clan leaders must be stopped. Gingerly, you step over the bodies of local villagers taken captive by the Kobolds and make your way through the dungeon.

When the Heroes Reveal the Dire Chamber, Read:

Meerak eyes you warily. “I know why you have come,” he barks. “You can help me end this war for the good of all. Find Klak and kill him for me and I will spare your pathetic village.”

If you agree to Meerak’s terms make a note of that fact If you agree to Meerak’s terms make a note of that fact and remove his figure and ONLY the other Monsters spawned in this chamber from the board. Otherwise you must defeat Meerak.

When the Heroes Reveal the Horrid Chamber, Read:

Klak stares at you madly. “Meerak sent you didn’t he?” he hisses. “He has gone insane! Find Meerak and kill him for me and I will cease experimenting on the Longbridge villagers.”

If you agree to Klak’s terms make a note of that fact and If you agree to Klak’s terms make a note of that fact and remove his figure and ONLY the other Monsters spawned in this chamber from the board. Otherwise you must defeat Klak.

For each Villain you defeat, draw an extra two Treasure For each Villain you defeat, draw an extra two Treasure Tokens at the end of the Adventure. If you defeat neither Villain, you lose. If you only defeated one Villain make a note of which one survived - also, in the next Adventure you will only have 1 Healing Surge instead of 2...

Goal: Destroy one or both of the Kobold Villains

The Kobold clans are gathering and warring, and thevillagers of Longbridge are caught in the middle. The Heroes must bring an end to this war, one way or another.
