BILYANA KNITWEARBilyana Knitwear Ltd. is a knitting and finishing company situated in the south west of Bulgaria with a variety of knitting gauges and highly skilled staff.

We produce high quality men's and women's knitwear using natural fibres combining traditional methods and modern technology.

FULLY FASHIONED KNITWEAR USING EXTRA FINE MERINO WOOLS

Our factory has both 21g and 15g Fully Fashioned machinery which produce the finest classic merino and lambswool sweaters. All our garments are assembled by our team of professionals using point for point collar linking and hand finishes.

The majority of our production is made using the highest quality yarns from premium European spinners.

We specialise in knitting Italian Extra Fine Merino which is treated with a Total Easy Care finish making it long lasting but retaining the soft lustre of the fibre.

We also produce Soft Lambswool which is spun in England to the highest quality which we treat in our own dye house to be machine washable for long lasting performance.

Our 100% Cotton ranges are made from combed cotton in a huge selection of colour and blends

DESIGN VERSATILITYAll of our 8g Shima machines are capable of intarsia design knitting in addition to a huge variety of stitches and designs they can produce.

In addition to our Fully Fashioned machinery, we also have 5g, 8g and 12g electronic flat machines for knitting intarsia, stitch effects and jacquard designs.

All programming is developed with our own technicians and we work with many international designers on their seasonal sweater collections.

HIGHLY SKILLED PRODUCTION TEAMWe have approximately 160 skilled employees - many with over 20 years experience manufacturing high quality knitwear.

Our management team have extensive experience working with many European and U.S. markets for over 30 years.

The technicians in our dye house have many years experience with all types of garments finishes.

We produce garments in many different fibres including Extra Fine Merino British Fine Lambswool 100% Cashmere and Cashmere Blends 100% Combed Cotton with both solid and melange options. Merino and Lambswool Blends

We can also treat many of these yarn types with our “Vintage Dye” treatment which produces a fatigue look to all wool and wool rich garments.

DYE HOUSE ON SITE FOR TREATMENT OF ALL FINE WOOLS

Our dye house can treat 100% extra fine merino garments and 100% lambswool garments with Total Easy Care finish using the licensed SIMPL-X treatment.

We can also “piece dye” garments to customers own colour specifications for quick response and replenishment.

WATER REPELLENCYThe dye house also has the facilities to treat our sweaters with “NANO TEC BIONIC FINISH” which applies a water repellency finish which can also be marketed as stain repellent treatment.

The NANO TEC treatment can be applied to all wool and wool blend fabrics and also 100% cotton garments.

Our production team are highly experienced in all types of garment styles and treatments.

Many customers request lined and tailored finishes which are all produced in our Petrich factory.

EMBROIDERY SERVICEMany of our customers have branded logos or badges which they would like us to embroider onto their knitwear collections.

All embroidery work is carried out internally by our production team on new Tajima computer controlled embroidery machinery.

We have a large workspace for our customers and designers to use when they visit our facility in Bulgaria.

Each of our customers has the opportunity to develop their own designs, specifications and make yarn and colour selections from the wide range of European spinners that we work with.

Our production facility can operate with much smaller minimum orders for maximum flexibility and shorter lead time.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENTOur team of technicians work with designers and product developers from companies throughout Europe and the U.S. to interpret their ideas for seasonal collections.

Petrich is 2 hours from the Bulgarian capital Sofia and 2 hours from the city of Thessaloniki in Greece.

Both cities have international airports with daily connections to all major European cities.
