The future of Bath is bright with massive regeneration and redevelopment taking place all over the city the likes of which have not been seen for many years. Investment in the city continues to strengthen and tourism remains very strong. This last year has seen a steady stream of buyers coming to the area from all over the UK and abroad which seems set to continue. As London house prices continue to rise disproportionately to the rest of the country many young professional families are being priced out of the areas they would aspire to live in. This is largely down to foreign investment in London property and has created somewhat of an exodus to cities like Bath which can offer many of the advantages of London without some of the disadvantages.

We are seeing more and more buyers from London and the Home Counties; we also get a lot of expats returning from abroad wanting to settle in and around Bath. A continued improvement in confidence amongst buyers, may well turn the market from a buyers’ market to a sellers’ market during this time, although with that said, the worst mistake a vendor can make is ignore comparable evidence and be persuaded that their property is worth more than it is.
