KMUTT International Admission Project (No. 3) Academic Year 2019

The King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi has opened opportunity for students to continue their study in the Bachelor’s degree under the Project of KMUTT International Admission (No. 3) Academic Year 2019. The admission procedures are as follows:-

Application dates: 30th May – 7th June 2019

Qualifications:

1. Completed the High School certificate course as determined by the faculty. 2. Completed the International Fundamental Education or the General Education

Development (GED) or the International General Certificate of Secondary Educational (IGCSE) as determined by the faculty.

3. Academic transcripts required for the application are only for 6 semesters. 4. Must present the minimum test scores for GPAX, and GPA for the Science,

Mathematics, and Foreign Languages Program as required by the faculty. 5. The selected candidates are required to pass a medical test. 6. Must be of good conduct, well behave and agree to abide by the rules and

regulations of the university. 7. Must not have any of the communicable diseases, social diseases disgusted and,

diseases which are obstructed of their study 8. Must not have been sentenced to jail except as the punishment of negligence or

misdemeanor. 9. The students must not have been expelled from any Educational Institution

Conditions applicable: 1. In case the candidates have been accepted to study at KMUTT, they have to confirm

their intention of studying at KMUTT with the Council of University President of Thailand (CUPT) within the stipulated deadline.

2. If the selected candidates have confirmed their intention of studying with CUPT but would like to make another application, they must waive their right as per the CUPT rules and regulations. Any application without proper waiving will be cancelled immediately although they passed the exams.

3. The selected candidates who confirm to study at KMUTT under the CUPT must pay the tuition fees and registration fees determined by the University.

5.3 Two letters of recommendation from teachers/instructors of your previous Educational Institution.

Remark All required documents must be submitted with a certified copy. Any portfolio needed to be presented, must be brought on the day of interview.

English proficiency test scores accepted by SoA+D are as follow:- TOEFL (ibt) = 61 IELTS = 5 CU-TEP = 61 RMIT = Upper Intermediate (5)

For those who have the test scores of IELTS – 4.5, TOEFL (ibt) – 53-60, CU-TEP – 53-60 or RMIT = Intermediate (4.5) can also submit the application form. Later, they will take the aptitude and interview test. In case, the applicants are accepted, they will have to study an English Course during the month of May and June.

0-2803-8350 2. Personal Statement Personal statement must demonstrate the following:-

Your motivation to study – Why you decide to apply for the program and why you choose to study at SoA+D, or KMUTT.

Your expectation after the study – How the study could accommodate you with your future career plan or any other objectives you would like to achieve after graduation.

3. Portfolio Content Portfolio should be a tangible evidence of your potential and interest. All materials in the portfolio should be original pieces, any kind of duplication is not recommended. The portfolio must demonstrate the attributes as follow:-

A minimum of five pieces of your basic skills or special comprehension of sketching, drawing, painting, printmaking, model making, or photographic artwork must be presented

A minimum of five submitted pieces of your ideas and your artworks must be related to the disciplinary of the study of Architecture, Interior Architecture, Industrial Design, and Communication Art and Design

Other evidences of the extra-curricular activities, for example: social activities, academic activities, and etc. during the last 3 years may be attached

Portfolio Format The content of your portfolio is the main point we are focusing on. Using the simple portfolio format is highly recommended in order to clearly express your potential and interest which we are looking for. The portfolio should come in a standard of A4 paper size or A3. The maximum size must not exceed an A3 size.

Portfolio Submission All applicants must present their original portfolio on the interview day.
