To all Riverside Country Club Members, Thank you all for the warm welcome I have received from the many members I have met and our Management Team and Staff (I apologize in advance if I do not recall all of your names). I truly feel that we are fortunate to have such a professional and knowledgeable Management Team at Riverside Country Club. I have had the opportunity to meet with all of the team as a group and in one-on-one meetings and I’m really looking forward to working with them. I shared with those that attended the meet and greet, that the club graciously hosted for me last week, what I like to refer to as my Guiding Principles. One of which is that the club’s Mission, Vision and Value statements truly are our guiding principles and our promise to the members. Any time we make a crucial decision we have to ask ourselves does this decision support and add value to our Mission, Vision, and Values or does it devalue them?

Riverside Country Club Mission, Vision, and Values

Mission Statement The mission of Riverside Country club is to be the premier family oriented private club providing excellent facilities, programs, and services for the enjoyment of our members.

Vision Statement As the most established club in the Gallatin Valley, we will strive to be the premier family oriented club of choice by providing golf, aquatics, racket sports and other recreational activities with facilities that are inviting, functional and well maintained. We will continue to enhance the member experience and provide a high level of member satisfaction and retention. Our dedication to fiscal responsibility and appreciation of our staff will further assure the long-term success of our club.

Core Values Inclusivity – Welcoming and celebrating a diverse family of membership, guests and staff Respect - for fellow members and staff Integrity – Balance of quality and value, fairness, and financially sound practices Commitment – Doing and being our best Private clubs are based on tradition and history, but they also have their own culture. I can and have read materials and talked to members and staff about the Club’s history and tradition. Culture is what you feel when you walk in the door, what the staff lives and breathes and what you as members consciously or even sub-consciously say when you are talking about our club with a friend or a future member. Culture is who we are. I am asking many questions, observing, and listening, so that over time I will have an understanding of this Club’s culture. The foundation of private clubs was built upon the concept of membership by invitation only. A group of people with similar interests, demographics, social-economic background who came together and formed a club; be it for golf, social, dining, tennis etc… Once the club was formed, they invited people of similar interests to join their club. Unfortunately, in this day and age, that is not the case for most clubs. Today’s private clubs have to utilize outreach and marketing to build their membership base, but, year over year, club after club, the number one source of new members is member referral. Our Membership and Marketing Director Mandy Dredge and I are working on our outreach campaign for the coming year to assist in developing a base of future members. Mandy can only do so much….we need your help with membership referrals. By early spring we are going to provide you with information and tools so that you can help YOUR club grow. I am very excited to be here as your new General Manager and excited about what the future of this club’s holds. It is promising and bright, I will do everything I can to enhance your member experience and the growth of this Club. Thank you, Mark Amberson General Manager
