Virtually all castors work in the same way. Using teethto lock the wheels the castor is able to prevent furnituremoving in the Z and X axis's. However due to traditionalcastor design those Z and X forces are transfer up the Y axisand the further away the force is from the castor the greaterthe movement becomes.

This movement can become especially troublesome ona table surface as it can limit the users ability toperform careful and detailed tasks. X

However, we at Kite believe that our new castor goes a longway to solving this inherent instability. With DUAL-STOP we wentback to the drawing board and reconsidered every element oftraditional castor design, what it does and how it performs.

Through our research and development we discovered that theForces and instability are caused by 3 main issues:

1) Too large a tolerance between the wheel pin and bodyallowing for the 2 parts to became non-parallel.

2) The pins ability to move up and down on the Y axis dueto the assembly method.

3) The ability for the rotate around the Y axis even when thecastors locked.

With DUAL-STOP we have addressed all 3 issues and we believe,created the most stable castor currently on the market.

Using complex engineering we have designed a lockingmechanism that not only stops the pin from rotating in the Y axisbut also provides vertical forces which eliminate any Y axistravel. In addition, new thinking for the design of the main bodyhas allowed us to virtually eliminate all wobble between itand the wheel pin.

All this innovation and re-evaluation allows DUAL-STOP to beThe most advance and unique castor on the market.
