Summertime Slime Slide into summer with new slime projects to take home! We will be creating different summertime slimes using different ingredients to mash together just like on the YouTube channels. Class envisioned for grades 2 – 5. In a safe lab environment, we will have an aged-based project for you to take home and show off — it might be big, or little! Never used a power tool before? That is OK, we will teach you! Class envisioned for grades 5 – 8. June 19, 2021 / 8:30 a.m. – noon / Cost: $50 Fitness is Fun Stretch those muscles and feel the burn! We are diving into the world of exercise. Turn yourself into a dog with yoga, feel the burn of wind sprints, and learn how to stretch appropriately to maximize success. Class envisioned for grades 1 – 5. June 8, 10, 2021 / 9 – 11 a.m. / Cost: $30 Artful Antics Homemade Play-Doh, oobleck, sand art, and painting with your feet — you never know where art can come from! Find some silly fun things and ways to make art this summer! Class envisioned for grades 1 – 3. June 16 18, 2021 / 9 – 11 a.m. / Cost: $55 Investigating Amazing Insects Get buzz-y exploring the world of insects! We will learn all about these fascinating and complex little critters and go searching for some too. We will also make an insect craft that you can take home! Class envisioned for grades 1 – 5. June 22, 2021 / 9 – 11 a.m. / Cost: $20 Kirkwood for Kids is making its return in 2021! Things will just look a little bit different than in the past. This year we are going to be hosting multiple mini camps on different days throughout the month of June. Some camps will be one day for a few hours, many will be a few days for a week, and some might be on Saturday. The cost will vary, and scholarships will still be available! Due to health concerns surrounding COVID-19, extra safety precautions will be taken this summer to keep potential exposures limited and campers safe. Transportation/busing will not be offered this summer due to these safety precautions. Parents will be responsible for arranging all transportation to and from camp for their students. Creative WeldingMake sparks fly this summer! Learn to cut and weld steel using a cutting torch, plasma cutters, and wire welder just like the pros. Take your project home and show your friends and parents. No prior experience is necessary. Proper safety will be covered. Just come ready to create, fabricate, and weld. Projects will vary. Leather shoes, long sleeves, and long pants are required.Class envisioned for grades 5 – 8.June 28 – 29, 2021 / 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. / Cost: $50

Dash and DotLearn 21st-century coding skills while bringing robot friends Dash and Dot to life! Use a tablet to program your robot to move, dance, light up, make sounds, avoid obstacles, and even react to your voice!Class envisioned for grades 3 – 5. June 21 – 23, 2021 / 9 – 11 a.m. / Cost: $30

Guitar HeroLearn to play guitar, and become the musician you’ve always wanted to be! In these fun and informative lessons, you’ll build basic guitar skills step-by-step with the help of hands-on exercises, audio and video recordings, and detailed illustrations. First, you’ll get to know all the parts of your guitar, from frets to strings, and learn how to tune your instrument. After that, you’ll explore the fundamentals of music notation and find out how to produce clear, beautiful notes and chords. You’ll also discover how to control your rhythm, tempo, and volume, and how to express yourself artistically. The classical guitar skills you’ll master in this course will allow you to play any style of music, from hard rock to country and western. And that’s not all!Class envisioned for grades 3 – 6.June 21, 23, 25, 2021 / 9 – 11 a.m. / Cost: $30

Beauty Tips and Girl TalkSometimes being pre-teen when you are just unsure of how to do your hair and how those tools work, makeup is new to you and you just need the basics, painting your nails, washing your face, etc. Things are changing for you, and we are bringing in the professionals to give you the tips and tricks to middle school, pre-teen, hygiene, and beyond! In addition, we will have time to chat, get real with one another, and build each other up — whether it is about school, self-esteem, future careers, and more!Class envisioned for grades 6 – 8.June 8 – 9, 2021 / 9 – 11 a.m. / Cost: $40
