The ever popular Festival of Lightreturns to Huddersfield this winterwith trapeze artists and musicianssuspended high above the crowds.

The show will take place on Friday4 December from 7.30pm and will beperformed by French theatre com-pany Transe Express, who wowedcrowds three years ago when theyperformed in Festival of Light 06.

Unlike last year, when the showwas a procession through the towncentre, this year’s entertainment willall be in the newly renovated StGeorge’s Square. Audiences can lookforward to a great view of the per-formance, as a lot of it will be per-formed from high up in the air.

Festival of Light is run by KirkleesCouncil and is a free event which willend, as ever, with a fantastic fireworkfinale. Over the years, Festival of

Light has built up a strong audience;people turn up in their thousands toenjoy each show, which is a highlightin Huddersfield’s event calendar.

The real ice-rink returns to Hudders-field for the fourth year running.The rink opens on Thursday 3

December and runs until Sunday 3January in the centre of Hudders-field.And as an added bonus, prices
