4 Getting Started

Select Start on thet i t le screen t oproceed to themode-se lect ionscreen.

Starting a Game

Enter into battle using Kirby and allof his different Copy Abilities. Youcan bat tle solo or j o in up withother fighters and compete as ateam. Battle against a maximum ofthree other players using LocalPlay or Download Play.

Options

Multiplayer Battle against yourfriends (page 8).

Single PlayerWin nine battles inthe fastest t imepossible.

Training

Train al oneagainst the CPU.Set the ability andstrengths of youropponents as youtrain for battle.

5 Saving and Deleting Data

Saving Data

Your progress, including your totalc lear t ime, w il l be savedautomatically when you clear asingle-player game.

Deleting Data

Select Delete Data on the optionsmenu to delete data.Data cannot be recovered oncedeleted, so please be careful.

Data can be lost due to useraction, such as repeatedlypowering off and on the systemor removing a Game Card or SDCard while saving. Data lossmay also be caused by poorconnectivity due to dirt or dustin the system's ports. Pleasebe aware that in these casesdata cannot be restored.

Inhale a puff of air,enabling you to hoverthrough the air.

Shoot Air Bullet

Press (while hovering)

Spit out an air bullet.You will stop hoveringif you do this.

Guard

Reduces the damagetaken from enemyattacks.

Throw Carry Item

Hold to throw farther.

Dodge / Air Dodge

Spin to evade enemyattacks.

7 Basic Play

More Settings

The creator of the group can press on the player-settings screen tod isplay more set t ings. Adj ustvar ious se t t ing s, such as theappearance rate o f items, o rwhe ther or not Ghost Kirby isenabled.

In Multiplayer andTraining modes,you can adjust thestreng th andability settings ofcomputer-controlled fighters.

Ghost Kirby

Guarding

I f you ho ld the Guardbutton, the Guard meterwill appear. This meterwill be depleted as youcontinue to Guard. When it is fullydepleted, you will become stunnedand unable to move for a shortperiod of time.

Rules

Make use of your Copy Ability andany items that appear as you dobattle with other Kirbys. The lastKirby standing is the winner.

Action Star

These may appear a shortt ime afte r the bat t lebegins. Hit them to seewhat happens!・ A number of recovery items may

rain down.・ All your opponents may fa ll

asleep.・ Or something complete ly

Team Battles

Team up with other Kirbys, andenter into battle. The first team todefeat all the opposing team'sKirbys is the winner.

Team Cannon

When you and anotherKirby on your team haveteamed up on the TeamCannon, it will begin tocharge. P ress when ful l ycharged to fire it. The cannon willfire automatically if you do notpress anything soon after it hascharged.

Item Share

Approach your buddyshortly after you pick upcertain items to sharetheir effects.

8 Battling With Friends

Create a group and wait for otherplayers, or join an already createdgroup.

Mul tiplayer (LocalPlay)

You Will Need:

● One Nintendo 3DS system perplayer (max imum of f oursystems).

● At least one Kirby Fighte rsDeluxe game.

You can battle against a maximumof three other players. If eachplayer has the game, you canbattle using Local Play. You canotherwise use Download Play tobattle each other.

Players using Kirby Fighters Deluxecannot play a Local Play battleagainst players using Kirby: TripleDeluxe.

Mul tiplayer(Download Play)

Join a group to begin battling.◆ When using the Download Play

feature, your options will belimited.

Joining a Group

On the t i t le screen, se lectMultiplayer.Select a group to join.

Creating a Group

❷ Once all players' names haveappeared, select Start to beginthe battle.

❶ On the mode-se lect ionscreen, selectMultiplayer andthen C reateGroup.

Joining a Group

❶ On t he HOMEMenu, touch theDownload Pl ayicon and thenOpen.

❷ Select the Nintendo 3DS logo.❸ Tap the name of the software.◆ A system update may be

required. If so, follow the on-screen instructions to updateyour system. I f you see themessage "The connection wasinterrupted" and the systemupdate fails, try updating thesystem via System Settings. Fordetailed instructions, refer to theSystem Update page within yoursystem's operations manual.

◆ The system wil l not go intoSleep Mode duringcommunication.
