Hi, I am Elizabeth (with the pink flower) all the way from South Afri-

ca and have my own Pet shop. I am 27 years old and love camping

and caring for animals. I heard about the egg donor through Celeste

in South Africa who helps the Clinic find people to donate. The Clinic

is very professional and friendly, they help me to feel brave enough

to get my injections! The appointment is very quick and leaves us

free for the rest of the day! India is a nice warm country with many

bold historical stories and buildings. The people here are very friend-

ly and I just love the way the women dress. It shows that us women

are very special and are born princesses and should be treated that

way not only in India but in our own countries as well. We have the

gift of giving birth or helping someone have that special chance.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to help our recipient, it’s re-

ally a special feeling. Thank you for treating us the way you do.

Yolandi- When they told me I was matched I could not believe it but

here I m, in India. The place is like a dream come true! Everyone is

so friendly and helpful and the history about the place is so rich! I

would tell everyone I know to come here and help someone to be-

come a parent. Because its the experience of a life time!

Lydia– I would highly recommend the clinic to anyone who is thinking about going down the surrogacy path, and would like to thank the stars of the clinic Dr Samit and Anjani for all of their tireless work they put into helping my husband and I realize our dream of having a family!

Donor Focus : Elizabeth & Yolandi

Hello everyone! My name is Lydia, I am 28 years old, and was born with a

condition Mullerian agenisis. This does not allow me to carry my own child.

I have been married for 4 years. I met my husband in 2007 and we knew

from our first meeting we would be together for the rest of our lives. Soon

after our wedding in Nov. 08, I began researching surrogacy. I knew I would

choose India as my preferred destination for surrogacy, due in part to the

favorable laws and also because of the cost. I contacted numerous clinics in

India until I finally found the Kiran infertility Clinic, the were the most help-

ful and also the most professional of all the clinics I had been in contact

with. It wasn't until April 2011 that my husband and I went over to India for

our first round of fertility treatment, unfortunately our first attempt and IVF

was not successful, although our second attempt was and we were blessed

with our miracle boy Alexander!

Having been through the entire process gives me a unique perspective ( and

great joy!) when speaking with Intended Parents and I am able to help them

better!

Parent Focus– Felix Yang

I grew up in a city south of China and moved to Canada in 1995 with my family. As a child, I had always been the loving one who brought home little pets. I’ve had three cats, two rabbits, a turtle, don’t-remember-how-many chicken, ducks, fish, and pigeons. I brought them home, played with them for a few days, and then my parents would raise them for me. This didn’t seem to have stopped at childhood as eight months ago I brought home three little babies and needless to say, my parents are helping me raise them.

The thought of having a baby on your own may scare some people - hav-ing triplets on your own is definitely not for the faint of heart. But as a single father of three girls, I could not be happier. They are very differ-ent in personalities. Kaylee is the oldest - two minutes older than her twin sister Megan. She does not have any patience; she would scream on top of her lungs if you don’t give her what she wants. Megan is quiet, shy, and the laziest; she would extend her fat arm to fetch a toy but if she can’t reach it, she would either turn to another toy or big tears com-ing down her face cry for help instead of crawling to reach it – as a result she is the biggest in size but where you put her is where she will be. Eva is about two weeks younger than her sisters, smallest in size, but she is smart, playful, active, and loud like a bird. She figured out how to sit and crawl herself and now she is constantly exploring the forbidden dark corners.

I haven’t brought home any more little pets since my daughters came home. They seem to be keeping me fairly occupied. Some people asked me whether I would have more babies - I think I have enough of those…..well except maybe if it’s a boy! My parents are still young and healthy! Just kidding ??

“I could not have done all these without the help of my family and friends, and of course the Kiran Infertility Centre and their surrogates. The road to become a par-ent was not smooth for me but my ultimate turning point was signing up with KIC after talking to Dr. Samit and several other parents who had worked with KIC in the past. Then nine months after my three girls were born. KIC helped me through every single step along the way. They have my highest praise!”

KIC at the Men Having Babies Seminar- NYC !

Mr and Mr.N.- a Japaneese couple in their late forties who had been mar-

ried but childless for the last 20 years approached us in March 2011, re-

questing to be included

in our surrogacy program. Upon evaluation, the female partner had

atrophic ovaries and very high FSH levels and hence was not able to be

the genetic mother. They opted for a Thai donor with the Sperm to be

provided by the male partner.

While examining the semen sample of the male partner, it was noted

that there was a total absence of sperm. Upon further enquiry, Mr.N re-

vealed that he was wrongly diagnosed with Prostate cancer and was giv-

en significant amount of hormonal therapy and radiation. This led to his

Azoospermia. His testicular scan revealed normal sized testes.

Upon counseling, he agreed for a testicular biopsy and a small size of

testicular tissue was removed from his right testes. This piece of testicu-

lar tissue was washed using density gradient media and a few motile and

immotile sperm were isolated and frozen.

A month later, their Thai Donor underwent an egg retrieval and 12 eggs

were retrieved. But because of the poor quality of sperm, only 2 Embryos had divided and the two were transferred into a gestation-

al carrier on day 3 at 6 to 8 cells. 15 days later, the Beta HCg was done and it was Positive! On day 28 of embryo transfer, an ultra-

sound showed two gestational sacs.

Their twins- one male and one female was born at 36 weeks. With help of our legal team, they were able to get the travel docu-

ments for the babies in 2 weeks time and the happy family of 4 were able to go back to their country!
