FOLLOW ME
Free and Fabulous Guided WalksFree guided wildflower walks at 10 am, 12 pm and 2 pm daily with the Kings Park Volunteer Guides. Bookings are not required for groups of less than 10 people.
Heart of Kings Park WalkJourney deep into the heart of Kings Park for a bush adventure every Friday this September. This three hour walk requires moderate fitness and is not suitable for wheelchairs or prams. Bookings are essential by midday on Thursdays.
Special Kings Park Festival WalksCheck the Festival website for other great walks and talks, which include tips for growing the perfect lawn, an introduction to the 750 year old Boab Tree and weekly science seminars featuring the latest in conservation research.
All walks and talks are free. Registrations are essential for special Kings Park Festival and Heart of Kings Park Walks.
Botanic BaseIt’s the weekend, it’s springtime, so pack a picnic and head to our Botanic Base where all the Festival fun starts! Play Turf Twister or one of our jumbo games. Take our exhibition trail starting with Wildflowers and Superpowers and enjoy talented local musicians.

Friends of Kings Park Native Plant SaleSaturday 16 and Sunday 17 September 10 am – 4 pm
Choose from thousands of native plants for sale, lovingly grown by the Friends of Kings Park. Healthy, hardy, water-wise and gorgeous, this is a great opportunity to buy quality plants at affordable prices. Get in early, they won’t last long!
All proceeds support conservation projects in Kings Park.

Gardening with native plants – a joy or a challenge? Join Kings Park Volunteer Master Gardeners and a Kings Park Horticulturist for helpful native gardening advice and a tour of the Backyard Botanicals garden.

Wildflowers and SuperpowersPlants, animals, insects, fungi – all life relies on relationships for survival. Enjoy this light-hearted look at some unusual connections in nature.

From Pollination to InspirationThis sculpture takes a magnified look at the life stages of WA wildflowers from pollination to new growth. Designed by local artists Karen Millar and Pascal Proteau.

Woven WildernestEnjoy this ephemeral sculpture in the heart of the Western Australian Botanic Garden, created by WA artist Sally Stoneman.
Honouring the Kwongan region of South West WA – a globally recognised biodiversity hotspot, this sculpture represents the amazing interrelationships between plants and animals.
Join Sally and add to the protective fence around the ‘Woven Wildernest’ for an ‘In-a-fence-ive Weaving’ session on Saturday 3 September and Thursday 21 September.

The Human Nature outdoor exhibition takes a dive into the emotional connections of everyday people to Kings Park over many generations.

Flowers in BloomJoin Beau Est Mien for wildflower drawing workshops from 1 pm – 4 pm on Saturday 23 September and Saturday 30 September for adults ($100 per adult) and from 1 pm – 4 pm on Thursday 28 September for children ($75 per child).
Weave Your Own WildernestArtist Sally Stoneman will have you hand weaving your own basket from 9 am – 12 pm on 4 September and Saturday 9 September, $20 per person.
SEED: Story GardenersJoin writer Nandi Chinna from 9 am – 12 pm on Monday 11 September and Monday 18 September for an inspirational workshop to learn how to grow your Kings Park memories and ideas into stories and poems. This event is free.
