    Lesson 1

    This is the only page without a writing lesson for you to

    do, so I’ll use today to give you some directions. You can

    use this book to do all of your handwriting for the year.

    The online directions may say something like, “Write a

    sentence from your lesson.” When it does, I’ve included

    a sentence in this book ready for you to copy. It will

    make it so you don’t have to be online in order to do

    your writing.

    Now you can take this page to draw a picture of yourself

    writing. That’s one of the big things you are going to

    learn this year. You are going to write words, write

    sentences, write your phone number, and more!

    Uppercase L

    Write an L in each box. Start near the middle of the top

    of the box. Draw a line straight down to the bottom.

    Draw the line over to the right edge of the box. Circle

    your best one.

    Write a T in each box. Start on the top middle of the box.

    Draw a line down to the bottom. Jump up to the top and

    draw a line from one corner to the other. We JUMP back

    up to the top instead of drawing another line back up

    because it’s hard to draw right on top of your first line.
