Activity:

The Think E- Game

Learning Objective:.

Introduction of the letter ‘E’

and naming things beginning

with the letter ‘E’. 

A brief:

The teacher will ask the children

to touch the body parts starting

with the letter E (For example – 

eyes, ears, elbows etc)

Activity:

Flower Day

A brief:

Teachers will give flower cut outs

and the children will paste them

on ice cream sticks and finger

painting will be done on it.

Motivate your child to correlate the letter

sound and word. Show them objects whichstart with the same sound ,.Assist them in

understanding the words related to the

objects shown. Repeat it as many times as

possible.

At home, students should be made to

recognize their body parts starting with

letter ”E”. 

Parents are expected to familiarize their

ward on the names of food items beginning

with the letter ‘F’ (for example – fruits, fish,

fig etc.) and encourage them to eat to eat

fruits.

The teacher will hold an interactive session on the importance of living healthy . A

PowerPoint presentation will be displayed and songs will be sung in classes. Worksheet

on the topic “World health Day” will also be conducted. 

Home Activity

Parents are encouraged to include all the essential food groups such as carbohydrates,

fats, proteins, vitamins etc. in their child’s daily meals.

9th April 2015 Health Club Activity KG 1

The children will bring in their snack box (any food of their choice) flavored milk, yoghurt,

egg, nuts and cheese. They will be taught the importance of including all the necessary

nutrients in their diet. 

13th April 2015 Special Assembly A special assembly will be conducted to welcome the KG 1 students by the KG 2 students

and the teachers.

15th April 2015 Fun with Phonics KG 1

A fun filled song on phonics will be conducted in the class. The teacher will show picture

flashcards of various objects , students will be made to recognize the letter associated

with the picture (for example – A for airplane, B for bell etc.)

Home Activity

Parents should encourage their wards to recognize the first letters of various common

objects found in the house (for example – spoon, plate, toys etc.)

22nd April 2015  Earth Day KG 1

Group activity will be conducted were the students will do palm printing on a cutout of a

tree. The teacher will hold an interactive session, discussing the importance of the

conservation of natural resources and saving the earth.

Home Activity

Discuss with your child on the importance of conserving natural resources, switching off

lights when not in use and the need to save water. 

23rd April 2015 World Book Day KG 1

“I Donate a Book campaign” will be organized where the students will bring a picture

story book and exchange it amongst themselves to read.Home Activity

Parents should encourage the kids to read and maintain a collection of good books.

Earth Day

Celebration

To inculcate an awareness & responsibility towards the environment Earth Day will be

celebrated. Children will be made to draw a tree and color it. Students will be told

A Tree Story. 

23rd April 2015World Book day &

Eco- club activity

“I donate a book campaign”  – Children will be asked to bring story books from their

home which will kept for their everyday reading purpose. Interesting reading activities

will be conducted.

26th to 30th April

2015Sensorial Week

Children will learn to perceive his/her world through touch, smell and taste (Touching

different fabric, touching hot and cold water, smelling different objects like flowers,

perfumes etc.

Provide various experiences were your ward to experience the different senses.

Hoping to see your ward and you getting involved and enjoying the new learning experience. Kindly maintain aKinder-Tinkle journal at home and fill it with pictures and experiences gained. You shall be intimated if we wish to see

the journal.
