*In When Zachary Beaver Came to Town, Toby and Cal attempt to make friends with Zachary Beaver, even though he isn’t very likeable. Have you ever tried to be friends with someone who didn’t have many friends? List 5 things that you could do to try to be a friend to someone who really needs one.

*In My Louisiana Sky, Tiger has the opportunity to leave her home and move to the big city. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? How would it be different than living here? What would you do there?

*In Part of Me, Rose gets a job driving a bookmobile. People who can’t get to the library in person can have part of the library come to them. If you had a bookmobile, what books would you want to be included on its shelves? Would you choose fiction or nonfiction? How about some fairy tales or biographies? Are there any specific books you would make sure to include? Explain your choices.
