DAETE – Development of Accreditationfor Engineering Training and Education

• Standardized tool for benchmarking that enablescontinuous quality improvement and self-assessment inhigher education

• Based on the European Foundation for QualityManagement (EFQM) Excellence Model

• Collaboration sponsored by the International Associationfor Continuing Engineering Education (IACEE ) –supported through funding from FIPSE and EUCommission

Adaptability to Distance/Online Learning

- This is an organizational self-assessment tool

- Quality in DL/Online/Elearning is dependent onthe support of the organization

- The EFQM model criteria align with the NYS ICRcriteria, which are also based on theorganization

- The DAETE tools and processes provide a wayto standardize on what the levels mean and alsodocument and share best practices
