Soccer Workshop Sunday 10th June. Invitation Only We would like to ask for your co-operation regarding punctuality, school teaching times, and dismissal times. It is very important for all children to attend school every day and to arrive on time. School starts promptly at 7.40 am and they should arrive in good time for when the bell goes. This is essential to ensure that children benefit fully from classroom learning and that other childrens learning is not disrupted. Most children arrive at school on time by 7.40 am and we appreciate this. However, there is a small group who regularly drift in between 7:50 am and 8:30 am and a smaller group who arrive even later. This is a problem where children come to school with certain transport drivers. We are sure that most of these late children leave home in good time. We cannot continue to condone late coming. We will therefore implement a strict punctuality procedure. The gates will be locked at 8h00 am. (This is for security measures) When a child arrives after 8.00 am the parent/carer is required to wait with their child at the gate until the following teaching period at 08:20 am. Late children will have to come to the main office where we will take their names and ask them why they were late. We understand that a child may be late as a one offbut persis- tent lateness is not acceptable and where this is the case we will be contacting you to ad- dress this. If your child is repeatedly late and does not adhere to this, he/she will be sent away. You will be contacted to have a meeting with our Deputy Principal to help you with strategies to prevent lateness from occurring. All children must be collected on time at the end of the school day, by the designated parent/carer/driver. Gates will only open at 13h30 . Please note: Children will ONLY be allowed to sit at the Pick-Up Zone until 15h00. The gates will be locked at 15h00. (This is for security measures) Children at the Pick-Up Zone will then have to be collected from Aftercare. You will be fined R25.00. If you refuse to pay the fine your child will be locked outside the school gates from 15h00. NO STAFF or TEACHERS are on duty after 14h30. We cannot continue with a small group of parents/carers/drivers who refuse to comply with the school rules. Please ensure your children knows daily pickup & drop off routines to comply with the beginning and end of school times. Letters were sent out to this effect this week ,however the need to repeat this request is necessary. Much appreciated. Punctuality -strict punctuality procedures will apply

Important Dates June

04th June—13 June Exams

School closes at 13h30 for

all children during exams.

Soccer Workshop Sunday 10th June.

Invitation Only

We would like to ask for your co-operation regarding

punctuality, school teaching times, and dismissal times. It

is very important for all children to attend school every

day and to arrive on time.

School starts promptly at 7.40 am and they should arrive

in good time for when the bell goes. This is essential to

ensure that children benefit fully from classroom learning

and that other children’s learning is not disrupted.

Most children arrive at school on time by 7.40 am and we

appreciate this. However, there is a small group who regularly drift in between 7:50 am

and 8:30 am and a smaller group who arrive even later. This is a problem where children

come to school with certain transport drivers. We are sure that most of these late children

leave home in good time.

We cannot continue to condone late coming. We will therefore

implement a strict punctuality procedure. The gates will be locked at 8h00 am. (This is for security measures) When a child arrives after

8.00 am the parent/carer is required to wait with their child at the gate until the following

teaching period at 08:20 am.

Late children will have to come to the main office where we will take their names and ask

them why they were late. We understand that a child may be late as a ‘one off’ but persis-

tent lateness is not acceptable and where this is the case we will be contacting you to ad-

dress this. If your child is repeatedly late and does not adhere to this, he/she will be sent

away. You will be contacted to have a meeting with our Deputy Principal to help you with

strategies to prevent lateness from occurring.

All children must be collected on time at the end of the school day, by the designated

parent/carer/driver. Gates will only open at 13h30 . Please note: Children will ONLY be

allowed to sit at the Pick-Up Zone until 15h00. The gates

will be locked at 15h00. (This is for security measures)

Children at the Pick-Up Zone will then have to be collected

from Aftercare. You will be fined R25.00. If you refuse to pay

the fine your child will be locked outside the school gates from

15h00. NO STAFF or TEACHERS are on duty after 14h30. We

cannot continue with a small group of parents/carers/drivers

who refuse to comply with the school rules. Please ensure

your children knows daily pickup & drop off routines to comply

with the beginning and end of school times. Letters were sent out to this effect this

GTC (GTC, formerly Grant Thornton Capital, is a diversified financial services company, established in 1991 from within the Grant Thornton Johannesburg audit practice) a sponsored women's soccer team who play at Discovery Soccer on Colette Drive are conducting a workshop at CityKidz on Sunday the 10th of June, from 2:30pm to 5:30pm. As part of their commitment to the upliftment of the game the CTC soccer coaches are required to do a soccer workshop at a school or

non-profit organization. The women who play on the GTC soccer team are all young driven ladies who come from all walks of life. Some of their players are Sasol League players and have trained with Banyana Baynana. There will be 11 team members and a photographer attending the event. Several Directors from GTC have also been invited to the event. CityKidz was nominated as a beneficiary of this wonderful opportunity. The team from GTC will play soccer games, do drills and play some soccer matches. It will be a day of fun and learning. The purpose is to just have fun and enjoy an activity-filled afternoon all together. Our coaches and teachers will select players willing to participate in the soccer day. Please send you reply slips back to school on Monday. Staff and organizers need to know how many children and parents will attend. The Itty Bitty Tuckshop will be open. Refreshments and boerewors rolls will be on sale.
