MUSINGS
The philosopher, Gabriel Marcel ‘appreciated that to love someone is, in effect, to say to that person ‘you must not die, but live forever’. Love’s profound approval cannot tolerate the idea of
the beloved no longer being there. The loving approval of God dramatized in the whole story of Christ brings with it something that human love alone can never achieve: the fullness of life forever’. The divine love, deployed in creation and even more in redemption, is more powerful
than death. It not only delivers from death but also holds out a new, transformed and definitive
life to come’ (Gerald O’Collins, Jesus Our Redeemer, p. 197)

Family Offering Almost all of offering boxes for parishioners who contribute by way
of weekly envelope have been collected or delivered, if you have not
yet received yours please call to the parish office during the week to
collect. We are deeply grateful to you who faithfully contribute on a
regular basis to the Family Offering. The Weekly Family Offerings is
the only collection that goes directly to the parish, so you will
appreciate how important it is to the parish finances. It is our main
source of income that covers the cost of insurance, heating, lighting
and maintenance. If you would like to contribute to this collection by
way of weekly envelope or standing order please call to the parish
office after mass or during the week to arrange.

Make-A-Wish Ireland Annual Wish Day –
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Make-A-Wish® Ireland has one simple aim – we grant the wishes of children aged between 3 and 17 years living with life-threatening
medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy and create extraordinary memories for them and
their families.
Volunteer are needed for WISH DAY, our annual fundraising day, on Friday 8th April 2016.
There are a number of ways you could get involved and support us: * select a location nearby and volunteer to sell our badges there for
the day
* hold a coffee morning or bake sale in aid of Make-A-Wish
* hold a Jersey Day or a similar themed day in aid of Make-A-Wish
Money raised on the day goes to continuing to grant wishes to our brave wish children.
If you can commit to the full day or even a few hours selling our badges, please visit www.makeawish.ie to register online.
Alternatively contact Emma Horgan [email protected] or call 01
2052012 for more details.
On behalf of everyone at Make-A-Wish; our wish children and their
families, thank you for your support, we really do appreciate it.
