TEACHER APPRECIATION BREAKFAST

A Teacher Breakfast will be in the Archdale Friends Meeting Fellowship Hall on Thursday, August 22nd. Archdale United Methodist Church has

been asked to provide 15 breakfast casseroles. There will be some vegetarians, so we need a few meatless casseroles.

Casseroles need to be brought to Archdale Friends Fellowship Hall

(not the gym) by 7:30 am on Thursday, August 22nd, hot and ready to serve.

If you can prepare a casserole or two, please let the church office

or Kay Nichols know.

NEIGHBORHOOD CAFÉ Every Thursday at 5:30.

We’d love for you to join us & invite others. Trinity UMC

will be serving the meal.

Trinity UMC needs 4-5 people to help provide and serve the

meal for Neighborhood Café the 2nd Thursday of every month. Volunteers are needed.

Trinity UMC & Helpers will split the menu each month with one group doing a meat— the other group provides the sides. For

example, this month Trinity UMC is providing the sides and the

helping group will do the meats. Next month, the roles reverse. A special thank you to the Friendship SS Class who will

assist in September.

Our goal is to have enough volunteers to assist Trinity UMC so

individuals will only have to help every few months. This mission effort continues to serve our community. Please contact the church office 336-431-7111 to help.

BIBLE STUDY ON THE GOSPEL OF LUKE

Our pastor, Allan Van Meter, is continuing the Bible Study on the Gospel of Luke resuming on Monday, August 5th at 10:30 am in

the Conference Room. Allan will provide questions that will help us look into the life, service, and ministry of Jesus as written by

Luke.

“The ‘Fine Line’ of Christianity” *2019 VBS Revamp*

VBS will continue 2 Sunday afternoons in August (11th & 18th)

Each event will run from 4:00pm-7:00pm

& dinner served nightly at 6:30pm.
