Why Rwanda?
A foreign financer / investor allways needs a complete picture of:
-the development of Rwanda over the last 15 years
-Vision 2000 – 2020: status & prognosis

very promising.
However, looking through the list, we need to find the most optimal
ways how to manage this and,
how to create synergy ……
by creating the right legal entities and
combining knowledge and capabilities

Energy cluster:
1. Extracting methane from lake KIVU
2. Using the methane for an electric power plant
3. Option: a greenhouse using some heat from the powerplant and the CO2
4. Mining peat
5. Using peat in a carborizing process producing electric power and peat-
coal (for cooking)
6. Using peat in an installation producing syn-gas. The syn-gas is used in an
electric power plant
7. Option: a greenhouse using some heat from the power plant and the CO2
8. Option: using peat in an installation producing bio-oil (diesel)
9. An installation for geothermic energy

Housing / constructing cluster:
1. Realize the sustainable neighborhood Kinyinya (30,000 people, ‘turn-
key’), and additional constructions
2. Strengthening the local construction sector with a new company with
innovative technology for urban development with simulation and
planning software, new equipment, new intermediate materials, logistics
3. Create a housing association (Foundation) renting houses with the option
that the renter can become the owner of the house after paying N years
4. Realize affordable houses for communities of farmers in rural areas
5. A factory for cement
6. A factory for pre-stressed concrete (concrete floorboards and more)
7. A factory for eco-boards (sustainable hard- and soft-board from
agricultural waste)
8. A factory for steel-frame profiles (construction apartments)
9. A factory for waste processing & recycling and producing energy
