VERDUNNER

K.I. Verdunner Ghent

De "Ghent diluter" bevat eidooier, melk en verschillende buffers en suikers. Deze ingrediënten verzekeren een optimale

bescherming en voeding van de spermacellen. Er werden uitmuntende resultaten behaald in België en in verschillende andere

landen. De "Ghent diluter" is van een excellente kwaliteit, die continu wordt opgevolgd. Elke geproduceerde batch van de

"Ghent diluter" wordt terdege gecontroleerd op bacteriële, schimmel- of gistinfectie, alvorens te worden vrijgegeven. Eveneens

wordt de zuurtegraad en de osmolariteit gecontroleerd. De batches die niet voldoen werden onmiddelijk vernietigd. De "Ghent

diluter" is gegarandeerd infectievrij en wordt internationaal gewaardeerd. De verdunner wordt diepgevroren geleverd.

bereiding van de dosissen:

• sperma afnemen, filtreren en evalueren

• totaal aantal Progressief Motiele Spermatozoa (PMS) berekenen

• sperma verdunnen tot 25 × 106 PMS/ml

• het verdunde sperma in dosissen van 20ml bewaren

• bewaring van gekoeld sperma gebeurt het beste bij +4°C

• voor transport zijn speciaal hiertoe ontworpen containers voor-

Vapor Freezing – The simple way

The amount of liquid nitrogen to be filled into the styrofoam box doesn‘tneed to be exact, since the rack automatically floats on the correct heightover the liquid nitrogen level for 20 minutes. It then descends due to its ownweight and the straws are automatically plunged into the liquid nitrogen.With this method, vapor freezing is finally becoming more standardized.

The first step in semen collection is one of the most important. A higher quality of semen is collected

when the stallion is at ease and comfortable with the dummy mare. I.M.V.’s unit is designed with the

comfort of the stallion in mind, and at the same time provides the security desired by the handler.

Right or left handed, the choice is yours to collect on “your” side. The dummy mare is manufactured

in galvanized steel and covered with leather and rubber padding weighing approximately 350 kilos.

It is capable of withstanding the stress of force from the stallion mount. The height and angle are

adjustable to fit all breeds and its shape conforms to the mare anatomy. Easy to clean and disinfect

between collections.

TRACEABILITY

Integrated with the IS4, a state of the art

machine for filling, sealing and printing

of the I.M.V. Technologies straw, continues

the traceability of your collected semen.

A barcode can be printed on the straws

for further identification. When the

semen packaging process is completed,

the IS4 automatically sends the number

of straws per sample collection.

The potential for human error is reduced

and the records are stored in the SMILE

database.

FREEZING & STORAGE

TRACEABILITY

The bar-coded straws can now be loaded

into the Digitcool for freezing according

to pre-set protocols. The Digitcool offers

a “state of the art” method for straw

freezing. Recorded in the database, is the

batch code with the freezing curve,

chamber curve, and inside straw curve.
