Principle saxophone player, Michelle Park, 12, raises her hand during class to ask about a rhythm in the music for the winter concert. “Getting one-on-one attention is the easiest way for me to learn” Park said.

Multi-instrumentalist, Branson Plunk, 12, plays the bass for the varsity Frisco High School band. Along with the bass, Plunk has played tuba, sousaphone, guitar and actively sings for his church. “I can’t wait to study music business when I attend Alabama next fall” Plunk said.

Tuba player, Adam Naumann, 12, practices Percy Grainger’s “Shepherd’s Hey” for the Holiday concert. Shepard’s Hey was conducted by student teacher Tony Gonzalez as his last assignment before he finished his undergrad. “I chose to play the tuba because it’s big and shiny,” Naumann said.

FHS Orchestra teacher, Mrs. McDaniel, conducts holiday songs for the Holiday concert. “There’s not anything I’d rather be teaching than the arts,” McDaniel said.

The Frisco High Choir practices for the Orchestra-Choir combined holiday concert. “Becoming a better singer has helped me become a better actor as well,” Johnny Mata, 11, says.

Kaleigh Gallant, 12, plays horn in the varsity band for the 3rd consecutive year. She plans to attend SMU and be highly involved in the music program. “I love making great music with my friends” Kaleigh said.
