The basicsHere’s a quick check list for planning the physical return to work

1. Risk assessments completed

2. Return to Work policy published and available to all staff

3. Thorough cleaning of all areas

4. Test a small area first to see what works

5. Clear arrival processes and control of people flow

6. Clear communication of new working guidelines

7. Ensure clear walkways and traffic flow around the office

8. Clear desk policy and cleaning protocols - clean in, clean out

9. Train maintenance staff and teams

10. Re-position/re-organise, remove furniture to allow forsafe distancing

11. Minimise hot desking and shared spaces

12. Review fabrics/finishes – hard surfaces and wipe cleananti-microbial fabrics

13. Availability of non-shared storage

14. Sanitiser provision at points of entry and shared touch points –ideally sensor activated

15. Availability of PPE for returning staff – wipes, gloves, masks

16. Safety screens and migration where safe distancing cannot be achieved

17. Safety signage throughout the workplace

18. Touch free devices where possible eg. door hardwear, building entry systems, fever screening CCTV

19. Ventilation systems - audit, clean, review

20. Filtration systems - review
