On Feb 11, 2014, Delta Air Lines announced their partnership with the Ghana Red Cross Society to fund and implement a year-long malaria prevention campaign in four districts in the Greater Accra and Upper East Regions. Delta will make a monetary donation to the Ghana Red Cross to purchase 4000 long lasting insecticide nets. Volunteers from Delta and the Ghana Red Cross will distribute these mosquito nets to pregnant women and families with children under five years of age. Through this project, they hope to help reduce under-five mortality in Ghana. Since Delta, the only US carrier that flies direct to the US from Accra, launched its first nonstop flight between Accra and New York in December 2006, it has seen continuous success in Ghana, and Africa. It has transported over 3.7 million passengers on its African services, which cover Accra, Dakar, Johannesburg, Lagos, and Monrovia and have invested in advanced cabin equipment and more comfortable facilities in the airport terminal. Delta is always committed to positively impacting the communities where it operates, and plans to continue this through the Hang Up and Keep Up Campaign.

mole is about a 1 hour drive from Tamale. Tamale is about 600 km from accra (a 13 hour bus ride, or a 1 hour 20 min plane ride) the largest of its kind in Ghana. Its savannah woodland and forested areas cover a staggering

space which measures just less than 5000 square kilometers. you can expect to see antelope, elephants, baboons, warthogs, buffalo, hyenas and if you’re very lucky, a leopard. lions have recently been re-introduced to the park as well. there are also more than 250 species of birds to enjoy. the park has a simple motel with a pool and restaurant located directly above the elephants’ bathing pond.
