Key findings on employee engagement
- Small businesses have a strong staff retention rate: 30%
remain in their employment between 3 and 5 years, 23%
between 6 and 10 years and nearly 27% stay with their
employer for 10+ years.
- One third offer wellness programmes but two thirds do not
- Almost 85% of small businesses invest in staff development
and training.
- Just over 75% offer employees career progression and
promotional opportunities within the business.
- The top 3 additional benefits that small businesses offer are:
o Paid sick leave
o Educational assistance
o Contributory pension scheme
