LOCATOR® is designed to pivot and this feature provides key performance benefits for the pa>ent – the GPS™ is designed not to pivot. The GPS™ does come with a limited “one size fits all” Processing Kit. Note: it has just the 4.5lb. male. This will usually be too much reten>on, especially to start, and requires a separate purchase. ONen this is not known un>l the chairside evalua>on with the pa>ent. The “clinician chosen” LOCATOR® Processing Kits allow for chairside customiza>on of reten>on level and angle compensa>on. LOCATOR’s design allows for compensa>on with divergent implants. Because the GPS™ cap does not pivot, the GPS™ requires a separate abutment/aRachment to handle divergent implants. This angled abutment will add height to the restora>on and the “knuckle’s” protrusion could make the poten>al use of an exis>ng denture impossible to consider.
