• JOSPHAT• NECC (Ndabibi Environmental Conservation Centre) NECC offers programmes that helps familiessucceed in preserving their land and resources, supporting and feeding themselves, and keeping their children in school.

DisadvantagesRequires more time and effort.



BICYCLE

Carries 10L of WaterPrice:$75

AdvantagesInexpensive. Most families have one.

DisadvantagesHard to balance. Difficult to control because of poor road condition.



DONKEY

Carries 20L of WaterPrice: $200

AdvantagesOne person can lead several donkeys. Donkeys are shared in community.

DisadvantagesExpensive- Not every family affords one.

TRANSPORTATION PROBLEM

Rope wrapping over the donkey cuts into its skin and causes skin problems.

Longer rope are required to load things on donkeys and it takes long time.

Ask the donkey to lay down. Then put things on it and wrap things on donkey with either sisal rope or plastic rope.
