Kenny and I grew up one

town over from each other.

We started dating when we

were in high school and were

inseparable for many years.

After college we did split up for

some time, but as fate would have it

we wound up getting back together.

We also love going to see

live shows together. One of

our annual rituals is going

to see The Dave Matthews

Band together.

We like to connect and

relax by reading books

together. We make a cup

of tea and get cozy on the

couch while taking turns

reading the chapters.

We are huge fans of the

Harry Potter movies and

once the fall starts rolling in

we like to watch the series

from start to finish.

Since the pandemic

started we’ve been playing

paddleball. We head down

to the courts for some

friendly competition. It’s a

great way for us to get some

exercise and have fun.

We love a good laugh and

always look forward to

seeing some of our favorite

comics like Jim Gaffigan and

Brian Regan at one of the

theatres in our area.

Now that we are both

parents we strive to make

our relationship even

stronger than it was before.

Being parents has made

us mindful in everything

we say and do! We cannot

teach our children to be

the best that they can be if

we have not tried to be the

best parents that we can

be. We are not perfect, but

we know the importance of

being good role models.

If you choose the path of adoption with us you can

be sure that your child will be entering into a loving

and caring home. All the opportunities for their growth

will be provided, and your child will be guided and fully

supported in life. We realize that decision must be a

difficult one for you to make and we admire your strength

and courage as you pursue this path for your baby. We also

understand how you are such an important part of your

child’s life and you will always be spoken of with kindness

and admiration. Our hope is that you can get a good sense

of who we are as a family and that you like what you see!

I look forward to coming home from work every day to see my family waiting at the door for me, making ebelskivers – round dutch pancakes - and eggs on

Saturday mornings, taking walks through the woods or

into town with “my girls” and watching our daughter

playing at the park with her friends. I love playing catch

and kicking the soccer ball in the yard with her (she’s

pretty good for 6!) and I was filled with such pride and

joy when I was able to see her pedal ahead of me on her

bike without her training wheels. I hope that I will get to

experience all of that a second time.

Kenny has been working since he was twelve, worked through college and has continued to take on roles outside of

his comfort zone. He has a tireless work

ethic that has helped him excel throughout

his career. Kenny is a great provider and a

power of example to our daughter. Always

making sure we have what we need and

that our daughter is well cared for.

He is also a generous person and will go

out of his way to help other. He is a “doer”

and will often be the one to volunteer his

time and efforts.

SNOWBOARDING IN VERMONT

I have a background in finance and accounting and

lead a team of accountants, attorneys and financial

engineers. I honestly enjoy the work that I do and

the people I work with, and my job allows us to have

my wife stay home with our daughter, which was

very important to us.

I love being outdoors and always have. Whether

it is hiking a new trail in the mountains, mountain

biking, ice skating or snowboarding if it is outside,

I’m in my element.

Kenny is a very friendly guy.

He can strike up a conversation

with anyone he meets. He’s

definitely a people person.

Spending time with family and friends is important to him.

To say he adores his little girl is an understatement. Making

her smile, laugh and giggle is always top on his priority list.

They do lots of fun things together like going for bike rides

and playing soccer. They also like to use their imagination

and play pretend monsters in the backyard.

He loves the outdoors and has a great appreciation for

nature. He often says his dream job is to be a park ranger!

He loves to take long hikes up in the mountains, nature is

his happy place. He’s an avid snowboarder, trail-runner and

mountain biker too. Kenny also participates in obstacle

racing events, always looking to challenge himself physically.

Emmie’s experience as an elementary school teacher has been invaluable as a parent. She knows how to keep our daughter engaged, is knowledgeable about what she needs to know at various

milestones in her life and strives to provide her with all the support

and love she needs to thrive. Our little girl is the light of her life.

I realize every day how lucky I am to have met Emmie. Not only

is she beautiful, but she is caring and supportive. I love the time

we get to spend together both with Melina and alone. She is my

sounding board and my confidant. She is affectionate and loving.

She is the love of my life.

I have been fortunate enough to be

a stay-at-home mom and I’m really

enjoying this phase of our lives.

Since we moved into our home it has

been a lot of fun (and work) remodeling

it and making it our own. It has become

one the things I really enjoy doing at the

moment. It really is nice putting my own

personal touch into the house to make

it our home.

Gardening is something I like to do as well. Before going to school for education, I earned a degree in Horticulture. Our daughter also enjoys helping me in the garden. She has her

own set of gardening tools and will be right by my side digging

and planting.

I also enjoy tapping into my crafty side. Whether it is fondant

cookies I made for my grandmothers 90TH birthday party, or

the handmade Mother’s Day vases, I really enjoy making special

things I can hand off to people.

For exercise I really like to just get outside and walk, especially

if its in nature. I also have taken up the practice of an exercise

called Qigong, which is similar to yoga. I always feel good after

doing it.

The health of my family is also very important. I do like to be

mindful of the products we use in our daily lives and the types

of foods we consume. Organic food and non-toxic cleaners are

part of our repertoire. But let’s not be mistaken, we do like to

indulge. Ice cream, cookies and pizza do have a place in our lives

(and heart’s) too!

Emmie is all about family.

She always looks for every

opportunity for all of us to

get together and spend time

with each other.

She loves to cook and bake, which is also starting to rub off

on our daughter Melina who loves to help out. She is very

thoughtful about what she cooks for us. She tries to focus

healthy foods and is really creative; she has us trying new

things all the time.

Emmie loves to sing and plays the piano, which brings

our home to life. I love when I overhear her in the kitchen

singing her heart out without knowing I’m right around the

corner. She also started teaching our daughter how to play a

few basic songs on the piano! She’s lighthearted, funny and

doesn’t take herself too seriously.

W e live in a 4 bedroom house with a fireplace in the den.

Our home has a fenced in

yard with a playground for

kids and dogs. We’re usually

out there cooking over

the summer and enjoying

our yard. We also set up

a pool every summer so

our daughter can practice

swimming. Everyone loves

taking a dip to cool off and

just have fun.

We live in a very FAMILY-ORIENTED

NEIGHBORHOOD. The block has lots of

young children and it keeps growing.

We’re just a short 5 minute walk to town where there are

restaurants, a coffee house, ice cream shops and more.

There is a Nature Preserve right near our home. So, we often take

a walk to see the birds, ducks and geese that live at the lake.

We have a park that is right around the block from where we live.

We’re over there almost every time we have nice weather so our

daughter can play. We can not wait until the day that we can bring

our new baby to the park with all of us.

Ocean Beaches are just a 15 minute drive from our home, but there

is a nice, small local neighborhood bay beach that we go to quite

often over the summer. To top it off we can hop on a short train

ride to NYC to see all that it offers.

Melina is our sweet and fun-loving child. She has a super silly personality and loves to make people laugh. She has a generous heart, you’ll often find her

giving away her toys to friends. She’s so nurturing and

caring that we know she will fill the role as big sister

quite well.

Each year we host an Annual Christmas

Eve party complete with a Cookie Swap!

We also gather friends each year for our

town’s Tree Lighting Ceremony and then head

back to our house for a party afterwards.

We bake Christmas cookies for the neighbors each year too. Our

daughter loves helping us bake but her favorite part is delivering them

to all of the neighbors. It is such a fun tradition.

This year we weren’t able to do

our annual trip because of the

pandemic and boy did we miss it.

We’re hoping next year we’ll be

able to go on an extra special

vacation and hopefully have a

new baby added to our family!

Over the summer we like to

spend time at the beach with

family and friends. We make a

day out of it; playing at the spray

park and making sand castles by

the shore.

Friday night is pizza night at

our house.

We are so

lucky to have

both grand-

parents live just 5

minutes away. On Sundays we

have the grandparents over for

dinner which usually consists of

pasta and meatballs!
