HUNNIES HOT TIPS

Tips Angle Park Thursday 8.4.10 Race 8 No 2 Rawson Reason - He has been racing in great form this season and impressed at Gawler last start when he met with interference but was still able to win running away. This looks a tough race on paper but he looks fantastic eachway value. Race 10 No 2 Mirella Bale - Top notch run first up from Victoria when she came from well back to score first up in a handy 30.58. She has a nice record of 6 wins and 12 placings from 37 starts and looks a great chance here tonight. First 4 Race 8 - 2/5/4/6 Race 10 - 2/7/3/6 MCQUEENS Q CLUB OFFER FOR APRIL You can win an ultimate Barossa Valley Wine tour during the month of April for 2 people. SUNNY LOVES GAWLER The 2010 Gawler Anniversary Cup Final has been run and won. Sunny Boy Love has continued to put his best paw forward in recent months and this week’s final was no different. Trained by Ken Gill the Where’s Pedro/Just Tranquil chaser used box 8 to perfection at the northern circuit when he used his usual early dash to cross the field in the short run to the first turn at the tricky Gawler venue. Once in front and all his troubles behind him the $1.80 favourite never looked in danger when he claimed the final title and added $2720 to his winning tally. Now with 22 wins and 14 placings from just 47 starts, Sunny Boy Love has been well travelled recently and has continued to shine in good races. With the additional prize money from the Cup he has cracked the $35,000 mark. Good Riddance trained by Troy Murray had to work hard in the run and was lucky to miss the early trouble and run an eye catching 2nd. This dog has been working back to his best form and should break into the winner’s circle in the coming weeks. Awesome Dare continues to show her liking for the Gawler circuit and flew home for 3rd. Bob Isaacson’s Digital Speed rounded out the pick 4 when tiring to run 4th.

Sunny Boy Love ran a more than handy 30.94 over the 531m and will hopefully carry on to tackle the top grades in the coming weeks in SA. The next best run on the day went to Crystal Scull. She pinged the lids and led throughout for a 6.25L win in 31.27. Crystal Scull, by Scull Murphy/Satanic Starr has now won 5 from 10 at Gawler, add in the 3 placings and the sprinter, who is owned/bred and trained by Bob Isaacson is certainly proving to be an ultra consistent performer. COUNTRY WRAP UP Over the Easter break our other northern venue in Port Pirie held a terrific 10 race programme, with several trainers having multiple runners for the night. Dale Martin again took race honours as he did last meeting. And he didn’t have to wait long for his first winner, coming in race 3, when Little Bizzum proved too strong and won over the 516m in a graduation. Splash Magoo carved across from box 8 to bring up an early double over the 412m for Martin. Then Covered In Cash proved too strong in the Free For All and landed the Lewiston kennel the treble. Leanne Fagan made her presence felt when leading in a double with Yoshi Blue and the handy Magnus Bale. BON went to Silent Pedro with a smart 30.47 6L win. The northern venue is certainly proving a popular one with Sky Racing punters and the quality of the fields continues to improve. BRAIN TEASER Who won last years Gawler Anniversary Cup final? KISS OF DEATH

We will get straight to it tonight and start picking winners. Best of the night is Where’s Cisco in Race 2 from box 8, back to the right side of the track he will lead and win. Point Two Over is the main danger here. Satanic Cash will only improve and win Race 3 over the journey but will be short. Best eachway is Victa Lee Roy in race 4. Big show in an open affair, add in Proven Sienna in the 5th from box 1. Best roughie of the night look to Shogun Bale in the last event. Trifecta - box up 1-2-6-7 Race 1 1-3-4-5 Race 4 1-2-4-5 Race 6 JOKE OF THE WEEK There was a student who was desirous of taking admission for a study course. He was smart enough to get through the written test, a GD and was to appear for the personal interview. Later, as the interview progressed, the interviewer found this boy to be bright since he could answer all the questions correctly. The interviewer got impatient and decided to corner the boy. "Tell me your choice;" said he to the boy, "What's your choice: I shall either ask you ten easy questions or ONE real difficult. Think well before you make up your mind."

The boy thought for a while and said, "My choice is ONE real difficult question." "Well, good luck to you, you have made your own choice!" said the man on the opposite side. Tell me: What comes first, Day or Night?" The boy was jolted first but he waited for a while and said: "It's the DAY, sir." "How???????" the interviewer was smiling ("At last, I got you!" he said to himself.) "Sorry sir, you promised me that you will not ask me a SECOND difficult question!" Admission for the course was thus secured.

BREEDERS LICENCE As industry participants would be aware, Greyhound Racing SA with the support of the breeder’s task force introduced a breeder’s license requirement in 2009. Although this has been highly successful in its introduction, a small number of industry participants still do not appear, fully aware of their responsibilities when commencing the breeding procedure.

It is imperative that before dogs are mated the breeder MUST obtain a breeders licence to ensure that any litter born from that mating will be registered. A few applicants of late have attempted to “short cut” the system owing to their dogs coming into season. Although this has only occurred on a few occasions applicants should be aware that failure to carry out the correct procedure could result in the possibility of your pups not being registered. Anyone seeking more information on this matter should contact GRSA on 8243 7100
