WINTER BREAK HOME WORK

CLASS : 3 TO 5

INSTRUCTIONS:

Holiday homework carry 25 marks for each subject.

Homework should be done neatly in classwork notebook.

Incomplete homework will be marked zero.

Homework is to be submitted on 12 Jan 2019 to the respective subject teachers.

CLASS-3 SUBJECT-ENGLISH

# Learn all the syllabus from term-2 notebook for the upcoming periodic test in January.

Also, practice class tests taken (The story of the road to Don’t tell)

1) Draw a scene of Christmas celebration and write 10 sentences.

2) Do 10 cursive handwriting.

3) Read any 5 English stories other than textbook.

4) Read and comprehend- what’s in the mailbox(learn) ; my silly sister ; little tiger , big

tiger

5) Learn 1 new word daily and practice pronouncing – write 2 sentences using it. (total

20 words)

MATHEMATICS

# Practice chapter 8 to 11 for the upcoming periodic test of January.

1) Do 10 sums each of addition, subtraction and multiplication.

2) Do 04 problems each of addition , subtraction and multiplication.

3) Do page 124, 149, 156 , 159.

4) Learn multiplication tables from 1 to 15.

E.V.S # Make a clay pot and decorate it. Make a model of ( any one )- letter-box , igloo,

building , any game.

Collect and paste pictures of(in scrap book) –

a) 5 sportswomen of india

b) 5 stamps

c) 5 domestic animals

d) Sources of water

e) 5 means of communication

Write a letter to your friend or any relative or friend living in some other city and

post it.

Learn lesson 13-18 for test.

Make a poster on ‘save water’. Write a slogan also.

Class-4

English

1) Make 10 word families. Eg- well , shell, tell , bell , spell

2) Write 15 words with suffix –ly . eg- loudly , neatly

3) Make a word meaning chain of any one English chapter.(on flash cards)

4) Write 5 conversations on different topics such as Christmas, new year , visit to a

place, Makar Sankranti etc.

5) Make a puppet of Pinocchio(page-177)

6) Make a bookmark(page-159)

7) Write and learn 2 English poems other than textbook.

8) Revision from the milkman’s cow to books (poem) for periodic test-

MATHEMATICS

1) Divide and check the answer by multiplication (20 sums)

2) Do 4 sums from each chapter (unit 8 to 11)

3) Prepare a quiz from unit 8 to 11.

4) Do any word problems related with unit 8 to 11.(other than book)

5) Learn tables up to 20 and write 10 times.

6) Watch video on YouTube related to area/perimeter.

8) 50 DOGING TABLES.

4) LEARN THE NAMES OF STATES IN INDIA AND THEIR CAPITALS.
