•Many houses have the electrical panels in the basement, which is a common cause of a fire.

Testing Smoke alarms

• Most new smoke alarms have a test button• Smoke alarms need to be replaced every 8 – 10 years (sensor

inside goes bad)

Smoke alarms should be tested every month.

• Will have information on battery replacement and testing.

Read the manual when buying a new smoke alarm
