China’s spectacular growth of recent decades will continue to cool down as authorities try to steer towards a more sustainable economic model. The GDP is expected to grow by 6.3% in 2019, slightly slower than 2018. In Oct 2018, the government presented a new tax deduction plan which is expected to increase household consumption; however, the trade war between China & the U.S and a possible correction in the housing market are the main headwinds in 2019.
Chinese companies will continue to flourish cross sectors on the global stage. They will rapidly adopt technologies and innovations with strong balance sheets throughout 2019, this will put Chinese companies in a strong position to attract global talent.
Even still in early stage, the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been felt in almost all industries, and 2019 will see even greater shortage in AI talent in China. As one of the largest IT market in the world, China is still accelerating its pace to lead the world in digital technology and e-commerce, which creates a strong need for talent; The aging population and healthcare reforms have led to a healthcare boom which will be on the lookout for talent with expertise in research and development, business development, and supply chain throughout the year. Improving efficiency and reducing costs will drive shifts towards shared facilities and shared services which will impact function roles such as Finance, HR, IT and Administrations in 2019.

Without a doubt, “IPO” is the keyword of 2018. The world's three major capital markets are competing to “hand out olive branches”.
Under these favorable market conditions, the prevision for 2019 is that numerous industrial market and information technologies, media and telecommunications, entertainment, high-end manufacturing and high-tech industries, new e-commerce, education and similar companies will continue to lead and promote the IPO process in the capital market both at home and abroad. This will stimulate a large number of job requirements for financial managers with investment banking, big four accounting firms, or MNC background.
Furthermore, traditional foreign-invested enterprises and manufacturing industries in China will become conservative due to the economic environment and lack of innovation. Most of their recruiting positions are for replacements, mainly financial operations director, financial manager, and professional financial talents specialized in costs, funds and internal control. Their cost requirements for candidates are also becoming stricter. With the deepening of the China-US trade conflict, it is expected that US-funded enterprises in China and traditional export-oriented enterprises will be faced with even more challenges.

Over the past decade, the development of the global automotive market has followed a "rapid growth - overall decline - rapid growth - stable growth" trajectory. Compared with 2017, the global automotive market has grown by about 7% in 2018, whilst the Chinese market's growth rate has exceeded 15%. In 2018, China's private car ownership is about 15 cars per 100 people, a value far lower than in Europe, the United States and other countries. This data shows that China's automotive industry still has lots of room to grow.
Looking back on 2018, the state of the automotive industry is as follows: (1) Self-driving vehicles have achieved small-scale production (2) Smart electric vehicles from emerging brands have come onto the market (3) Automotive industry chains have re-expanded and the industry as a whole has entered the Automobile 4.0 era: Experiential reform (CaaS, Car-as-a-Service). It is increasingly difficult to distinguish the automotive industry from others, such as the Internet, new retail, communication integration services, new energy, finance, etc. The impact of the automotive industry on all walks of life and the global economy has become more prominent, as shown by the following four major trend features of the next 5-10 years:
Feature 1 - New Transport Methods: New transport methods such as vehicle-sharing, online taxi booking, time-share vehicles, and mobile sales are gaining popularity among consumers. It is estimated that investment will amount to nearly 500 billion yuan by 2025.
Feature 2 - Autopilot: ADAS and AD technologies will become the basic criteria of competitiveness for future OEM manufacturers. It is estimated that those technologies will account for about 90% of automotive technology by 2025.
Feature 3 - Digitalization: As a result of the IoT, automobiles will increasingly be seen as mobile terminals. The interconnection of the car and the globe will become the trend of the next 5-10 years.
Feature 4 - Motorization: Motorization lays the foundation of smartification. By 2025, battery and hybrid electric vehicles will account for more than 20% of the whole market.
Automotive industrial trend changes determine the current status of talent: (1) Shortage: The number of new energy vehicle talents in China is around 200,000 now and it is expected to reach 800,000 by 2020. The gap is nearly 600,000. (2) Frequent turnover: Compared with the previous years, in 2018 the turnover rate of R&D talents was 40%, and that of sales talents was 30%. Regarding the development of talents in the automotive industry in 5-10 years, we will pay more attention to the following aspects: (1) attracting cross-border talents (2) talent sharing theory (3) recruiting junior talent locally and senior talent internationally.
The automotive industry is experiencing a once-in-a-century period of profound reform with changes and challenges. Talents will also change along with the continuous industrial extension and reform. We estimate that the 2018 talent upsurge will continue in 2019 with the gap of 300,000, and an increasing number of talents from other industries will pour into the automotive industry.

The chemical industry is still consolidating, with the main theme being the merger and breakup between the giants and acquisition of small and medium-sized companies by large ones. Small foreign-invested companies that focused on new materials have become more attractive employers in the talent market. The digital transformation of the manufacturing industry has prompted more and more chemical companies to improve their processes. E-commerce and digital marketing have become the hottest jobs in the chemical market this year, and market communication has also seen higher demand. Coupled with the impact of the trade war on industrial chemicals, the rapid increase of costs and uncertainty has also triggered the demand for price analysis talent.
Among the core business departments that are responsible for “open source”, department directors, department managers, market analysis, business development and sales are still the most demanding positions. The key to new growth is still technological innovation, and most companies are willing to increase their investment in R&D and technical support positions.
Safety and environmental protection have always been the cornerstone for chemical companies, thus the demand of safety and compliance, and Lean and Quality still enjoy increasing demand. Many chemical giants choose Shanghai as their support center in the Asia Pacific region. There is a greater job demand for procurement and logistics in the supply chain. 1. Funds
Comparing growing household investment, retirement and insurance needs of increasingly affluent Chinese nationals, China’s mutual fund industry has been largely stagnant over the past three years due to stock market volatility and lack of investment channels. As a result, Chinese regular Asset Management Association of China, AMAC since 2016 have welcome more foreign asset managers to enter China, encouraging them to set up a local WFOE.
Altogether 13 foreign institutions have received Private Securities Investment Fund Manager licenses from the Asset Management Association of China (AMAC), with hedge fund giants Bridgewater Associates and Winton Group the latest to be approved, according to AMAC. The newly-registered institutions will launch investment products in China within six months, in accordance with regulations. More foreign asset managers are expected to launch a WFOE here in Shanghai in the next 12 months. Each WFOE in the first 12 month of operations is expected to create between 3 to 6 new roles such as office manager, research, business development with an average of 12 years of work experience.
Government has announced a series of new opening-up measures, including expanding the daily quotas for mainland-Hong Kong stock connect programs and scrapping foreign equity restrictions on domestic banks and financial asset management firms.
2. Commodities
With the lack of government spending initiatives and a consumer driven economy, this industry enters another year of poor performance with many traditional trading firms looking to downsize local operations with a view to expand new markets in South America where assets are considered to be cheap.
Also, the small to mid size foreign players are either closing down the China operations or looking to sell their global base metal trading unit.
The last 12 months, the pocket of hirings have come from local trading giants where the need for ‘star trader’ remains high. Everyone is looking for new ideas to generate revenue as physical trading margin remains thin.
The only positive hiring news out of this sector is if you want to work in HK or Singapore to take on a treasury/fund raising, procurement and paper trading roles. We don’t foresee new hirings in support function such as finance, HR, operations and risk.
3. Investment banks - securities joint ventures
This sector will create over hundreds of investment banking jobs over the next 2 years in Shanghai. As CSRC is allowing foreign banks to take on 51% ownership in a tri-party joint venture. All existing securities firms are said to be taking advantage of this new ruling including Morgan Stanley and UBS.
With an increased stakes, foreign banks will have full say in all business decisions. It said the current batch of securities joint ventures are in the red due to poor relationships with local partner. Citi Orient Securities have another 4 years to run in the partnership and is said to be the only that is profitable.
With full licenses to be granted over the next 3 years, it would be interesting to see each bank taking on a new business model. May it be IBD, sales/trading, wealth, asset management, we expect jobs to increase by 25% compare to 2017 in 2019.
The job increment will come predominantly from revenue generating function such as IBD, sales, trading and research. Also, we expect these hirings to have an average of 14 to 18 years of work experience as the business model is likely to value experience over young talent.
4. Fintech
Fintech in China is predominantly dominated by peer-2-peer lending. There are 2,100 of such platforms in China with an estimated 120B worth of transactions. However scandals continue to rock this industry with multi billion scams and governance incidences.
Regulators are delaying regulations that will bar online lenders from guaranteeing principal or interest on loans they facilitate, restricting the size of loans at Rmb1m for individuals and Rmb5m for companies, and force lenders to use custodian banks.
The talent market is very skeptical about p2p now. We have been working on a CEO and a CRO role with an estimated annual salary of RMB5million remains open for the past 7 months. This industry will continue to suffer from the lack of professionalism and over-entrepreneurism mindset, it is unlikely to attract any key talent in the next 24 months.
5. Wealth
China's wealth management market reached $6 trillion, with an online sales penetration rate of 34.6 percent, by the end of the first quarter, both ranking second globally behind only the United States, according to a report jointly released by global consultancy firm Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and Chinese fintech firm Lufax.
According to BCG estimates, China had around $2 trillion in online wealth management in 2017, second only to that in the United States.
As China's digital wealth management market undergoes fundamental changes, market players will face disruptions in terms of user needs, policy, technology, and market environment.
We expect new foreign securities joint ventures to introduce wealth management as a new business in China, adopting technology to better distribute and market the products.
Wealth banker hirings is expected to rise by 25% in 2019. The real difference lies with the quality and experience of the banker. Retail and institutional investors are more educated and international minded compare to 5 years ago, thus, expect the client to be making fundamental and well researched investment decision.
The wealth banker of tomorrow is likely to be well educated (at least a Master, CFA qualifications) with strong global capital market products knowledge. One who is able to provide some form of family office solutioning as well. Expect to see an investment banker turned wealth banker, selling a range of local and overseas products.
2019 and 2020, we are anticipating VP, SVP level of wealth banker hirings to enjoy a healthy pay rise of 40% to 60%.

We do not optimistic about the market next year actually, as most not only MNC company but also local enterprise was hit by the market slide. For legal department, which belongs to functional departments, the salary review was only between 5% to 10%, of course, more or less caused by the trade war between China and USA. The past 5 years, majority of Chinese SOEs and corporates have aggressively hire all levels of M&A professionals to help them with ‘go abroad’. This resulted in new jobs creation of M&A professionals in Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, HK, US, UK and France.
These professionals are ask to diversify core business, that is buying overseas assets that will deliver profits in the next 12 months. During these periods, fundings were easily attainable from a host of local banks. This was a directive from Beijing, support all Chinese firms to go global.
Fast forward to 2017 when a number of high profile CEOs were being investigated for improper conduct. This eventually led to a massive slowdown in M&A hirings. Many claimed the shift in Beijing policy from going abroad to building a stronger consumer driven economy was the main reason.
In 2017, we notice single digit rise in M&A hirings again. This time, it was senior hirings with a proven track record. ‘You see, 85% of M&A candidates we interview never stay long enough to experience the exit. Many M&A professionals have suffered from the lack of patience and support from top management. When a deal goes wrong, the chop comes down fast.’ Says a CIO with a large Shanghai corporate.
We expect to see a corporate M&A team in 2019 consists of an experienced hire with one associate, a lean team. Also, a new function for the M&A team is fundraising, having the connection to raise RMB and USD funds.

Real estate regulation policy continued to actively restrain irrational demand in 2018, while emphasizing the expansion and implementation of "effective supply". However, it will take time for the interaction between the regulation of short-term demand and the reform of mid and long-term supply to take effect, and the supply and demand situation in the market is still relatively strained. Short-term - In 2018, regulatory policies have basically continued the tightening and rectification trend. Overall house prices have been stabilized by limiting purchases and sales and lending on the demand side, and effectively expanding supply on the supply side, rectifying the market. However, since the second half of the year, regulation policy has faced a dilemma, because the pricing of second-hand and new housing was seriously overturned, and it was difficult to solve demand by blind suppression.
Medium-term – Strengthening financial supervision, deleveraging, and tightening the financial environment. In 2018, the financing difficulty for real estate enterprises had increased significantly, and several capital chain problems occurred in real estate enterprises, including some well-known ones. Long-term – Accelerating the establishment of a long-term mechanism, adjusting and improving policies on housing, land, taxation and finance, and deepening the housing system reform. Accelerating the legislation on real estate tax and continuing to improve the tax system over 5 years. Shenzhen's "housing reform" proposes setting up a 17- year housing supply system. Leasing has become an important part of the long-term mechanism.
* Outlook of real estate market trends
The urbanization rate of developed countries is generally over 80 % and even 90 % in the United States and Britain. While in name China's urbanization rate is 58 %, in reality it is less than 50 %. Thus there is still considerable development space, which is also the basis of the real estate market’s confidence in its long-term development. It is estimated that the total demand for new housing over the next three years will exceed 5.5 billion square meters, of which commercial housing will account for about 3.5 billion square meters.
Medium and large sized cities will continue to be the main real estate battlefields, with a sales share of more than 50 %. House prices in first-tier cities remain stable or rise slightly as the net population inflow trend there remains, while in the short term land supply cannot meet demand. Second-tier cities, such as Chongqing, Wuhan, Chengdu, Zhengzhou and Xi 'an, have significantly increased their attractiveness, but some cities have seen their housing prices rise too fast, which may be reversed. Cities near metropolitan areas will continue to benefit from population and resource spillovers from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. The monetization of shantytowns will still support the market capacity in third- and fourth- tier cities, but concerns have already arisen there.
Industry concentration continues to rise. Against the backdrop of deleveraging, difficulty obtaining financing has limited impact on leading real estate enterprises, but small and medium-sized real estate enterprises are struggling with further squeezed development space and market share. The rate of industry concentration will accelerate.
Supported by policies, the rental housing market will be fully opened up, which is also an important part of establishing a long-term real estate mechanism. According to estimates, in 2020, the housing rental market will amount to 2 trillion yuan. Major real estate enterprises will create long-term rental apartment brands focusing on first-and second-tier high demand cities, tapping into the operational value of existing assets and creating a product ecosystem.
As far as recruitment is concerned, over the last few years of fast development large real estate companies have not paid much attention to establishing systems and processes. The next few years will be a good opportunity to improve their regulatory system and corporate culture and build talented teams.

我们梳理了敝司2018年内实际获得的上万个招聘委托数据,基于行业划分及智能区分,对总计超过170个岗位的薪资浮动范围进行了归纳和整理。
通过对数据的有效整合与统计,制作成《2019英创中国区日资企业薪酬指南》,希望能给各位的工作带来帮助。
2018年对于中国的日资企业来说是个好年份,随着业务的顺利发展,各行各业对人才的需求都在增加。特别是制造行业俨然成为招聘市场的领军,汽车、半导体、自动化设备类的招聘尤为火热。与2017年相比,制造行业的全国招聘总量增长了12%。
敝司集团旗下负责咨询业务的英创安众,每年针对华东、华北、华南地区的日资企业进行薪资调整及奖金发放调查。2018年调查结果显示:华东6.67%、华北7.92%、华南5.49%,虽然加薪率每年微微递减,但整体薪资依然呈上升趋势。
纵观本《薪酬指南》,反映出各行业、各岗位的薪资均有上浮。其中管理层的薪资上限与下限进一步拉大,说明越来越多的日资企业针对高层管理岗位开始提供不亚于欧美企业平均水平并具有市场竞争力的薪酬待遇。
今年是中日和平友好条约缔结40周年,中国的日资企业也从初创期步入了稳定期,并逐步进入发展期。日资企业对于人才的要求越来越国际化和高端化,希望越来越多的现地人才可以担负起企业经营和发展的大任;为此,企业也更愿意在人才上进行投资。

ANNUAL SALARY (RMB)中国是汽车产销大国,在中国汽车产业由大变强的转型过程中,首当其冲的就是零部件
行业的集体升级变革。我们经常能听到“新能源汽车”、“无人驾驶”、“自动驾驶”以及“互联网智能驾驶”等新名词。各大汽车零部件企业的未来发展趋势都和电动化、智能化、网联化、共享化等发展目标息息相关。
综合来看,零部件企业的转型路径基本是以下几个方向:一是利用自身在汽车行业的技术优势,提早布局汽车自动化、智能化等技术的推进。二是利用现有品牌及客户资源优势,根据整车客户的需求导向,快速发展新产品、新话题、提早占领市场。三是通过合作,强强联手的方式,创作属于这个时代的新技术、新产品。
在这场变革中,欧美汽车零部件品牌大多采用“快速战略转型”的策略,在多方面进行产业调整布局,以最快速度进行迅速转型并把技术现地化,在中国新建新能源汽车核心部件生产基地。而日本企业在汽车零部件行业中虽占有非常大的市场份额,但在转型速度、布局上更偏于稳重、保守,进展速度比较缓慢。中国本土企业虽与博世、电装、大陆等领先企业相比有较大的差距,但也在全球市场上扮演越来越重要的角色。为了加速前进,跨国并购、从知名企业获取优秀人才、吸引更多本土、海归优秀人才加入成了国内企业提高技术的主要策略。上述全球主要的汽车零部件供应商无一例外的将中国作为其重要的市场。
2018年是新能源汽车行业快速发展的一年。汽车行业在之后很长时间内可以继续成为最具人才吸引力的主要行业。但随之而来的是,行业人才的需求量、需求变化也发生了很大的变革。在一整年的客户拜访、接洽中,听到最多的是招聘难、人才荒、传统的技术背景、汽车行业背景人才已经不能完全满足行业变革中的新的人才需求,拥有不同领域背景的复合型人才将成为汽车零部件行业的需求趋势。
那么新能源汽车行业需要什么类型的人才呢?首先是复合型人才,新能源与智能汽车领域对具有跨行业背景的复合型人才有非常强烈的需求。越来越多的企业希望人才对新能源不仅只是一时爱好,除了具备新能源汽车的知识、技术之外,也能有具备传统汽车的专业知识。电气、电子、信息技术、计算机软件等行业背景的人才成了诸多企业争先获取的主要方向。其次是学习创新型人才,新能源顾名思义是一个新的领域,需要人才具备很强的自我学习、自我创新意识,企业也应注重培养人才的可持续发展能力。新能源涵盖了众多的新科技,具有很强的专业性和技术性,需要在摸索中不断学习提高自己的综合能力。最后是团队力,新能源行业在发展过程中,跨国、跨企业的技术合作非常多,需要人才具备很好的团队合作精神,在团队中可以很好地去沟通协调,起到桥梁作用,只有这样才能更好的展开工作。整个汽车行业对人才的需求就是更加专业化、多样化,也深深意识到提高企业自身魅力、面试官魅力、工作内容的魅力也是非常重要的。
综上所述,随着汽车行业不断朝着新能源互联网汽车方向深入发展,对人才的选用标准越来越丰富全面。

由于半导体细分产业众多、产业链条长、应用领域广阔,具有很强的市场分割性,从上游的半导体材料和设备到中游集成电路核心产业链再到下游的应用领域所涉及的广大范围,市场上很难形成一家独大。但是,在上游半导体材料和半导体设备部分,日本占据着绝对的领先优势。据国际半导体产业协会SEMI的数据显示,日本企业在全球半导体材料市场所占的份额达到52%;在全球新购半导体制造设备市场占有率超过30%。日本材料半导体则生产了全球52%的半导体材料。
从科技角度还是经济角度分析,半导体的重要性都非常巨大且难以代替,所以我国政府对产业的扶持态度也十分坚定。在产业规模方面,我国目前已经成为全球最大的半导体市场,占全球的市场份额在不断增长。
当前,我国又迎来了半导体产业发展的极佳时期,为了促进半导体行业的发展,2018年3月,财政部等四部门发布“五免五减半”的减税政策,同年4月份,工信部表示国家将对半导体行业增加真金白银的扶持。随着国家的政策推动叠加大基金启动,大陆半导体行业在技术更新、人才获取等方面得到了更多的支持。由于产业的扩大,导致对半导体行业相关人才的需求不断增长,所以很多日资企业也根据市场情况和项目要求,不断调整用人需求。首先,从招聘区域来看,从最初的长三角沿海地区,迅速发展到全国各个内陆地区:成都、重庆、绵阳、西安、天津、合肥、武汉等。其次,从招聘条件来看,考虑到国内日语理工科类人才的稀少,所以不少日企在今年都放宽了招聘上的学历和语言要求。
从2018年国家统计局人才招聘的数据来看,大部分IC企业都愿意培养新人,所以近几年企业吸纳员工的政策是偏向于聘用应届生或者工作年限在3年以内的新人。当然,这也进一步说明整个行业里经验丰富的技术人员数量严重不足,所以自主培养新人必然将成为近几年各大公司重要的人才政策。但是由于日企在薪酬方面,相对于欧美企业、国企和本土企业而言,并无明显优势,所以在接下来的半导体行业人才抢夺战中将迎来更大的挑战。

作为国家的新兴战略产业之一,我国的IT产业增长空间将继续拓展,在GDP中的比重将持续提升。《“十三五”国家战略性新兴产业发展规划》明确提出,“加快发展壮大新一代信息技术、高端装备、新材料、生物、新能源汽车、新能源、节能环保、数字创意等战略性新兴产业。到2020年,战略性新兴产业增加值占国内生产总值比重达到15%,形成新一代信息技术、高端制造、生物、绿色低碳、数字创意等5个产值规模10万亿元级的新支柱,并在更广领域形成大批跨界融合的新增长点,平均每年带动新增就业100万人以上”。作为国家战略性新兴产业,IT行业将继续保持快速增长的势头,根据上述规划提出的发展目标,2016-2020年行业复合增速将达到20.8%,国家战略地位不断提升。
移动互联网红利期已过已成为业界共识,目前来看,VR/AR人工智能及区块链有望成为继移动互联网之后下一个IT行业热点。2014年Facebook收购Oculus,虚拟现实(VR)技术受到大众关注。2016年,国内VR厂商抢滩VR概念,布局VR产品生产线,预计2020年前全球VR产业规模将超过1000亿美金。人工智能(AI)方面,百度的无人驾驶、科大讯飞的语音识别、大疆的无人机已成为国内人工智能方面的典型产品。2017年国务院发布《新一代人工智能发展规划》, 明确了人工智能的战略地位。而区块链技术凭借去中心化,公开透明、不可篡改的特点,能够降低成本、提高效率,被认为是未来技术的发展方向。

自2016年国务院发布了《推进普惠金融发展规划(2016-2020年)》,应政策导向,金融行业将进一步优化资源配置、构建多层次市场、发展普惠金融。将由粗放型高增长模式向稳健发展态势转变。
行业人才动向体现在以下几个方面:
•从业人员数量不断增长,人才流动主要集中于行业内部
基金、证券、保险等行业的用人需求保持高速增长。出于行业薪酬及知识积淀等方面的考量,人才流动主要集中于行业内部,人才流向证券及公私募方向较多。
•互联网金融发展迅速,复合型人才成趋势
“互联网+”时代已经到来,便捷化及定制化服务使得互联网金融得到长足发展。但行业内存在良莠不齐的现象,2016年互联网金融监管新政对行业运营提出了更高要求,那些具有较强的优质资产获取能力、高度重视合规运营与消费者权益保护的平台将会有更大发展空间。
从企业招聘来看,行业对复合型人才及创新专业化人才的需求不断上升; 互联网金融业内人才多是从金融、 IT等行业流入,具备金融知识的同时又拥有互联网思维的人才将更受欢迎;另外,资产证券化(ABS)招聘需求大, 海外并购人才较为稀缺。
同时,企业对不同层级人才的需求也存在差异:对于初、中级人员(分析员、经理等)来讲,企业更看重其学业学历、资格证书等;而对高级人才(总监、副总裁、总裁等)来说,行业经验背景及诸如管理、沟通等金融专业之外的综合能力则更受到企业重视。
在薪酬福利方面,金融行业在各行业平均薪酬中长期居于领先地位。随着人才流动的不断加剧,为留住人才、稳定管理,企业采用股权激励等长期激励机制的方式,将占据越来越大比重。
