Leadership

Prepared and briefed the Army Aviation Commanding General on the status of the logistics supply chain for aviation repair parts for over 500 Army aviation aircraft leading to the Army Aviation readiness rates to consistently being 5% above the Army standard.

Briefed the Senior Executive Logistician in Afghanistan on any supply chain issues which affected sustainment of the Army-allowed the Army to establish and maintain a viable fighting force of 40,000 plus soldiers 100% of the time.

Operations

Established a pre-deployment training program for the battalion- led to the successful training and certification of 121 soldiers in combat lifesaver, driver’s licensing and weapon’s qualification within the battalion.

Conducted over 90 combat missions in Iraq while performing the duties as the logistics advisor for a military transition team –our unit (2-2 BDE MiTT) recognized as the top unit around the city of Mosul by the battle space commander. Unit successfully transferred the security and control of the city to the Iraqi Army on schedule in 2007.

Managed and directed the recruiting operations for the military science program for Alabama A&M University.-Program met the Army officer commissioning goal of 12 per year all 5 years.

Mentorship

Coached, mentored and advised an Iraqi executive officer on logistical, supply and maintenance operations-which led to the unit being the first Iraqi unit to receive their military equipment and receive critical repair parts to successfully conduct their mission.

Was selected by peers as a camp counselor for abused foster children-which led to the successful completion of five summer camps for 160 children.

Lean Six Sigma

Reviewed the college Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) scholarship process in an effort to recruit the best possible Army Officer candidates for the Army. Participated as the group leader representing the Historical Black Colleges and Universities– the project succeeded by reducing travel for applicants and provided strategic vision for the Army.

Reviewed and revised the process of returning Army equipment within Afghanistan- which led to the reduction of processing time by over 50% from 90 to 45 days.
