We were very visible in our community last Saturday with the washing of many cars, and serving lunch to a lot of peo-ple. Twenty members also donated at the bloodmobile. This made quite an impact on those we served and the members who participated. Many are already asking to do it again!

FOCUS—EFFECTIVE PRAYER
God is good! When you love someone you talk with them as often as you can. Re-
member when you were dating you would look for a quick minute to call just to say
“hello”. You wanted them to know “I’m thinking about you”. To a Christian it is
only natural that we keep in daily touch with Him in whom we live, move and have
our being (Acts 17:28). Children of God have the exalted privilege of prayer (Gal.
4:6). We will not get on our feet in progress unless we start on our knees in prayer.
Js. 5:16 in the NKJV says, “Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one
another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man
avails much”. The translated word effectual comes from the Greek word “energeo”
which means to energize or to put into operation. The same word is in 1 Cor. 16:9
where the apostle said “a great and effective door has opened unto me”. Here the
apostle means that a way adapted to accomplish something is made for him. An
effective prayer, then, must be one that is adapted to accomplish something. Fer-
vent prayer has to do with the emotional involvement of the person praying and
the thing being prayed for. How much do you identify with and feel personally re-
sponsible for the things you pray about? The person who prays is to be a righteous,
NOT a perfect person. One who has walked with God and though we have made
many mistakes, corrects them and lifts our eyes up to God realizing I must stay near
the cross on bended knee making it a way of life.
Now we come before You Father, we know that YOU are waiting there, may Your
blessed Holy Spirit intercede for us in prayer. Some are broken, some are weary, we
have burdens You can bear so we bring them to Your altar, and we know we’ll leave
them there. Thank You Father for Your mercy, thank You for Your loving care, thank
You for such sweet communion that we have with You in prayer.
Bridal Shower… A Bridal Shower is
planned for Heather Garcia
on Saturday, March 17 (place and time
to be determined).
It’s Paintball Time...
Plan to join us on Saturday, March 17 at the Milner's for paintball. We always have
a great time, so if you have never been, I promise you will enjoy it!
Where: Charles & Tami Milner's back yard Time: 9:00AM to 2:00PM
Address: 8524 Quail Run Drive, Wesley Chapel, Florida 33544
If you don't have equipment, please let me know by e-mail or phone so I can make
arrangements to bring more: [email protected] (813)318-2343. If you
have equipment and are willing to "loan" it for others to use, please contact me.
If you have equipment make sure it is in working order prior to coming out. Mini-
mum equipment is a paintball marker with CO2 or compressed air, markers, and a
mask. Camo wear is good but not required so if you don't have any camo, just try
to wear clothing that will blend in with a forest background.
Please plan to bring cool drinks and snacks of some sort for yourselves since we will
be there past lunchtime. Thanks and look forward to shooting it up with you all!
