Keeping Christmas In Our Hearts…
All Year Long Tour
Oh, what fun it is to ride through
Wayne County/Amish Country Ohio! Ask everyone to wear their silliest/tackiest/ugliest Christmas Sweater (or t-shirt) and have
the driver and escort wear Santa hats!
Spend the morning at the awesome Hollywood Christmas Museum, Castle Noel, the
world’s largest collection of Christmas Movie Memorabilia and NYC holiday windows, in
Downtown Medina.
Have everyone bring a wrapped white reindeer gift for a silly gift exchange while on the
bus trip. Play Christmas music and have a sing-a-long and vote on the tackiest sweater.
Enjoy a family-style lunch at the Dutch Kitchen and participate in the Amish Kitchen
Experience, where your group will decorate Christmas Cookies that will be individually
packaged to take home. Schedule time for shopping at their bakery and gift shop.
Enjoy a special factory tour and shopping at P. Graham Dunn in Dalton. Stock up on their
beautifully engraved holiday ornaments, some which can be customized with names while
you wait. Don’t miss their second’s area where even Santa has been known to shop.
A trip to Amish Country wouldn’t be complete without a stop at Lehman’s in Kidron. For
over 50 years, Lehman’s has been your source for old-fashioned and practical items. Your
group will love MCC Connections (think Amish and Mennonite Goodwill Store) and their
wonderful Quilt Room. Call ahead to make sure they will have volunteers quilting and
making rag rugs during your visit.
Then end your day at The J.M. Smucker Company Store and Café. Enjoy an afternoon
snack at their Self-Serve Ice Cream Bar, with all of the wonderful Smucker’s toppings
before departing for home. Everyone receives a small jar of Smucker’s jelly with
pre-reservation.
Play “Find the Elf on the Shopping Shelf Game” at our participating merchants. Your group
members will be instructed to look for our special elf hiding in the stores you will be visiting
on your tour. When they bring the elf to the register they receive a prize!
