Americans are increasingly on.the move. College staff members are no excep­tion. Here are some of the changes .which have taken place in our Purdue Ag. Ee.on. family since our last annual issue of Keeping Track.

Jack Armstrong, Ph.D. candidate in the Department, is on a half-time instructorship in marketin,g information.

C •. L. Baker is giving us part-time help in farm management and farm re.cords work. Clark is a local resident who has had long experience in farm management and in agricul~ural programs.

Dr •. E. M .. Babb joined the staff last fall as Assistant Professor specializing in dairy marketing. Emerson has his Ph.Do from Pennsylvania State and was economist for Eastern Milk Producers two years before joining the Purdue staff.

Dr. R~ D. Bell, Cornell Ph.D. and former member of the staff at South Dakota, has been with us the last year on a post-,doctoral appointment working with Vernon Ruttan. ··

' Dr. C. B. Cox, whose resignation became effective June 30, 1961, is Director of Economic Research, Armour and. Company, Chicago.

Dr. R. D. Darley, formerly instructor in poultry marketing, has accepteq an assistant professorship in business management and economics teaching at San Diego .state, California.

Dr. Wilfried Hammer, Max Planck Institute, Bad Kreuzna:ch, Germany, has been with us as a temporary·re'search instructor the past year working with Dr. Morris on energy requirementstudieso

~nold Haseley,, specialist in food distributic;in, is joining the staff at Oregon State College this month.

Gorham Hussey, ·formerly ~pecialist in fruit and vegetable marketing, has · joined the economic research staff. at Armour and Company, Chicago.

Dr. Joseph Havlicek joins the Ag. Econ. group in mid-August as Assistant Professor in marketing. Joe did his undergraduate and M.S. work at Ohio State and his Ph.D.· at North Carolina. For the past two years he9s been on the TVA Economic Research staff at Knoxville.

R. C. Maxon, specialist in consumer information resigned July 1, 1961 to accept an extension appointment at Iowa State University, Ames.

Dr. Gene McMurtry, former farm management specialist is now Extension Economist, Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Blacksburg, Virginia. Gene is giving his principal attention to agricultural policy.

Dro G. Bo Wood, Head of'. the Department of Agricultural Economics, Oregon State, and Ramona made a trip around the world last spring. They studied educational opportunities for foreign ·students under the auspices of the Council 'on Economic and Cultural Affairs.
