We have a special school that works to blend the spiritual and academic needs of our students each school day. As educa- tors, you work tirelessly to ensure that all of your students are chal- lenged. As spiritual leaders you help guide and encourage students to strengthen their faith to be able to face life's challenges. Each day I am a witness to the strong commitment of this faculty to put stu- dents first. I want to thank each of you for your hard work and dedication. This year has been much improved with the addition of new faculty that has blended with our re- turning staff to give us a renewed spirit. We have continued our quest for school improvement in all areas of our school. The largest and most critical is the cur- riculum and instruction of Pinewood stu- dents. The task is large and time consum- ing, but you continue to seek improvement of this task with an ex- tremely positive attitude. In the end, all this work will benefit our students as they reach for the goal of grad- uation and becoming pro- ductive citizens. Finally, I want to thank you for having a servants' spirit. This can be very difficult with the atmos- phere we have in many schools today. This fac- ulty's willingness to al- ways go beyond what is required and to do so with an enthusiastic attitude has renewed my beliefs in why Pinewood is such a special place to be a part. My wish for the remainder of the school year is for all of us to keep striving to meet our mission of offering a quality education in a Christian environment by using strict academics and discipline to foster spiritual, intellec- tual and social growth.
