Problems that may occur:

You may forget to take a picture of the receipt.

Your total storage for your app may reach a limit and deleting may be needed.

When showing the receipt to shops they may think its forged .

And now how we will over come these problems:

Page 4: Keep My Receipt

Our question we wish to address:

‘How will we make our app different to apps that are already out there and similar?’

Monthly spending. Graphs and tables to show your spending over a

period of time (increase or decrease). Search for receipt by name, price or store.

Solutions for problems customers may have

• If you forget to take a picture of the receipt then you can try to put the details of what you bought in and may be able to get an exchange rather than a return.

• If your total storage is exceeding and deleting the apps the only choice rather than deleting the whole app just delete some receipts that your sure you don’t need.

• If shops don’t accept the mage of the receipt then you can contact us and we will deal with the situation.

Keep My Receipt Elevator Pitch

Page 7: Keep My Receipt

From our users comments we have noticed how much its helping shopaholics organize their purchases. We’ve also learnt that customers exceptionally like our app as they can see which method of payment they used during that transaction. Our users have mentioned how it helps them track their daily expenses and how “ its an app to end lost receipts”.

Customer thoughts

Another company called Shoeboxed have a similar app to us. They track receipt, expenses, mileage and reimbursements. This company don’t fully solve our problem because their customers would mainly be businesses therefore they would have a high amount of storage on their phone unlike our customers that are for the general public and for people that are unorganised or shopaholics.

Paul Maskell (Caitlin’s dad)“I always lose my receipts, there so small and forgettable that they are easily mislaid. I have a Smartphone, and I would get this app. Our washing machine is always breaking down, and it takes us days to search through boxes for the receipt. With this app I can find it quickly. This will be very useful!

MVP User Stories

Sonia Cooper (Natasha’s Mum)“I go shopping once a month for my family and buy everything we will need for that month. This app would be super useful for these receipts as I am always mislaying things. It would also be great to track my expenses for these shops as I always end up buying what I don’t need.”

FeasibilityDataData is collected in many ways and can be stored in many waysThe app will need to define what data is needed e.g., price, store, items, date The data our app will need is provided by the users from their own receipts – you will also be able to input manually (e.g., if you pay cash at local store).ContentThe content will be private as it is only information and data that the customer will need / useTechnicalAn API will allow us to reuse and reapply data or functionality which is already available somewhere else There are competing apps which already provide similar (but not identical) data capture – such as an app for wine labels Most smart phones now provide a high resolution camera

Business Model and Customer Pledges

My team’s app, Keep My Receipt, will operate on a mixed business model in which some users pay/others pay. We will use advertising for users not willing to pay however we will provide the option of some users paying for the app if they are enjoying the app.

We collected 5 formal pledges and most said that they wold be willing to pay for the app and one said that they wouldn’t mind adverts so we decided that a mixed business model would be appropriate for our customers.
